This video was so freakin helpful. I'm a cleaner. And one of my client has this machine and FOR MONTHS I've been trying to figure out how to DRY ONLY. I've asked the owner and he doesnt even know lol. I dunno why I didnt UA-cam the answer long time ago. Jeez I feel like I won the lottery. This damn machine was the bain of my existence!!!!

If you live in nyc, gone head wash at home and take them to dry at the cleaners if you have time. A good dry takes a min with this unit

Thank you I went through an online manual...no explanation. Most of my clothes I hang to dry so it is no big deal but like you say you do want to dry some. This thing washes okay but sucks as a dryer! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video. Mind you it might have been in the 3 hours you were waiting for your sheets to dry!!

I agree with all of the comments. Even though this machine comes with a fairly thick manual, and does have a section that supposedly explains how to dry, there's no way to actually simply dry only explained as it was in a minute and change as you did in this straightforward video! LG should get their act together and incorporate these instructions verbatim in their manual thereby saving their customers a very avoidable collective headache!

The answer is that they do it intentionally to push people to their phone app - for data harvesting. You can't even use the app anymore unless you have an account with google, facebook, amazon, or other privacy abusing giants.

It should be open because it uses the water to dry the clothes

Can you post a video of how your dryer sounds when it is drying? I'm trying to determine if my noises are normal or if there is an issue.
Mine sounds a bit like a very quiet electric inner city train as it accelerates away from the station. If I close the laundry door I can just barely hear it, it's really not loud at all no matter what mode it's in.

I have the lg front loader gas dryer for some reason the drying sensor doesn’t come on, on my old one it automatically use to come on, so if it was 1hr to dry if it dry before that the time will drop instead the new one it go’s a full 1 hour

I did a load and at the end of drying cycle I hit the off button, it looked like they were pretty dry. I was wrong they were still damp so I started over....clicked power, did not turn the knob, clicked the No spin and Normal dry. It used water and got my clothes soaking wet again. Confused now

Yes I know how to dry, but what about adjusting the temperature of the dryer ?? If anyone has figured this out please let me know !
Nobody knows, no matter what setting , it has only one temperature and it will shrink your clothes
Only use dryer for towels

@@DIYPinto haha nope, can't adjust the temp, but you can control the time in increments of 30 min, so I dry for an hour or two, check it, and continue as needed from there

I have been trying this unit and my clothes are still damp. I did everything you said but still not drying and now it is set to 2-1/2 hrs..way too long to dry..what am I doing wrong?

Nothing Dolph. This machine uses steam to dry and it takes reallllllly long for large loads.
Should the water outlet for the machine be turned off when trying to dry?
No, it should be turned on, it uses water for cooling and a few other odds and ends while drying.

So, alright, here’s a LG combo washer dryer. Fill the clothes up to the max limit. Make sure your load is not too small. We just got a couple shirts and skirts to dry, just dry them. Ok, open up, toss them in, close it up, press Power, and all you do, just press Dry, and it is going to have that setting, and just press Play. We will do.
