The 60th only had 1 company of light infantry and they were only used once during the attack at Fort Carillon later called Fort Ticonderoga. After that battle the 60th did not have a light Infantry Company.

They fought at Fort Carrillon and at Fort Ligonier. The next two years they saw combat at the siege of Quebec, taking part in both battles; Plains of Abraham and Sainte-Foy It is important to note that the full regiment, on paper was 4000 men strong all by itself. These men were divided into four battalions. In 1758, one battalion was with Forbes in PA and one with Abercromby in NY. One again at Louisbourg and another in the Carribean
