- EDIT: The designs in this MAP for the cats do NOT have feathers on their heads, they are leaves so I’ll be making a clarification. However, it is noted that I will not be placing any leaves or feathers on my WC designs in the future in order to leave out misunderstandings! Thank you!
SO IT HASN’T BEEN 2 WEEKS BUT-
You know what? It doesn’t matter how long this MAP took, because by the looks of it. I’m proud to be the host of the MAP. It shows so many people with such talent and skill, yet most of them are deeply underrated. You know who else is underrated? Thrushpelt. The tom that everyone just loves so dearly, and there’s nothing to hate about him.
He appeared in Bluestar’s Prophecy and Spottedleaf’s Heart, yet not many really showed this kind warrior the love he deserves. There aren’t much MAPS dedicated to him, nor to his story. The Erins just seem to have written his character as a background dude than give him a plot that the readers might have loved to read.
So here’s my take. Thrushpelt isn’t known for really that much except he had a huge crush on Bluefur and Spottedpaw’s first mentor when she was training to be a warrior, and then he died off later but The Erins left it aside. I thought, before he died, maybe he impacted the both she-cats someway, how? Simple, by showing both of them support. He knew he couldn’t love Bluefur because her heart belongs to some other tom, and he can’t do anything to help Spotted out of the Thistleclaw situation because well.. he doesn’t have proof of anything, doesn’t he? All he could do is be a bystander and watch, yet I feel that his heart would be so kind to care for the two of them after the incident.
He worries for Bluefur and her kits, from the book, Thunderclan thought he was the kits father, even HE knew he wasn’t. What did he respond canonically? He would still treat them as their own, it doesn’t matter who the real father is, he still cares about the kits and Bluefur. Spottedleaf? She was his apprentice, and in the novella, he showed he still cared when Spotted went to train as a medicine cat apprentice, asking how she was and he wasn’t even disappointed. If he isn’t the best tom in the entire series, I don’t know who else is! Thrushpelt has shown nothing but generosity and kindness to those around him, and in return, this is a tribute and possible appreciation for the loving warrior we know.

Thrushpelt is honestly the best. He could have become a villain like Ashfur, but he didn’t. He cares for Bluefur and her kits. He kept her secret, and he’s honestly just an all around excellent and underrated cat.

I wish the Erins had given Thrushpelt some more time in the books. This dude deserves a novella or something. Even a little short book about him would make me more than happy. Everyone did a fantastic job by the way!

The one thing I wish they did was have Rosetail and Thrushpelt get together. Rosetail literally stated that she wished she had someone pine over her like Thrushpelt did to Bluefur and Rosetail really would have been a great mother.

It’s so sad knowing how Thrushpelt lost the kits too. I mean it’s obviously shown in the books how much he loved them and the kits thought he was their father. He’s so underrated.

Honestly, ThrushPelt deserves it all.
He was so caring and kept BlueFur’s secret. He respected her wishes and helped take care of her and her kits. I would’ve actually liked to see what would happen if he had become deputy instead of BlueFur. He could’ve ended up like an AshFur but he didn’t, he was an amazing dude

He was A-ok with bluefur not loving him back and just kept being nice and not trying to change her mind and when she had kits he KNEW wasnt his but everyone thought they were he was ok to be considered the father if it meant bluefur was happy

I love this MAP. ♥️ This song suits Thrushpelt very well, and I like how the animators also put focus on his former mentor-apprentice relationship with Spottedpaw, which isn’t very often depicted in the Warriors fandom.
Thank you! I’m sure most have forgotten that they were were mentor-apprentice cause spotted was introduced as a medicine cat, but thats what i read from the novella so i decided to write it in the script! ^^

Woah this looks amazing!! Thrushpelt is such a genuinely good guy and deserves a lot more recognition. I haven't seen anything that focuses on his mentor-apprentice relationship with Spottedpaw, so I'm glad that was shown. And everything he did for Bluefur even if she wouldn't love him- he deserves the world. The story was easy to follow, the song choice was perfect, and this map just does a great job conveying Thrushpelt overall. Great job to everyone who worked on this!

I really loved how Spottedleaf was very involved in this MAP and her debacle with Thistleclaw too. That gave the MAP's story depth instead of it being incredibly linear!

I’ve always loved Thrushpelt. Not only did he live Bluestar unconditionally and always do what was right for her, he loved her kits as if they were his own. And he knew her heart was somebody else’s but he never left her side and offered a fake relationship to cover it up, despite how emotionally damaging that must’ve been for him. Honestly Bluestar was gifted with the best cats around her for the most part of her life; her mom, her sister, Oakheart, Thrushpelt, Whitestorm, even Goosefeather. She only rlly started going downhill at her last life, maybe her second to last. She was actually rlly lucky despite how many sad MAPs there are.
Me: sneaks into house, makes alot of noise

Me: obviously crouching right infront of them

When I read Bluestar's Phropecy, Trushpelt was my favorite. And he continued to be my favorite in the whole saga. Literally, Trushpelt is my favorite warrior cat. He spend all of his time caring for the others, specially with Bluestar and Spottlepaw. I admire his kindness and his golden heart. So, he is my favorite lol

I cant stop watching this, the animators did an amazing job at portraying Trushpelt in the books :D. The animators and you made Thrushpelt’s story seem so much more interesting using what so little story he had in the books! Not to mention the amazing animation, 10/10 now don’t mind me watching this for the next hour so it flows so satisfyingly and everything makes sense :D

I think Thrushoelt is my favorite charecter. Hes such a kind cat and Bluefur probably saw that, but didnt want that in a mate or something. Thrushpelt needs someone to love him and he needs to love them. We need a happy and nice cat couple ;>;

The idea of Thrushpelt helping Spottedpaw about Thistleclaw is something I wish was canon. He could have played the part of 'always tell a trusted adult if something is wrong', and we could have gotten a nice novella about having a father-like figure helping his apprentice. Instead we got a novella about an adult man grooming a child.
First Brackenfur, now Thrustpelt. I am living for the respect for underrated characters.
Please let my boy Runningwind be next. He took care of Graystripe and Fireheart's apprentices when Graystripe was seeing Silverstream. He was a good boy and died to Tigerstar.
This is amazing! The song is so fitting for Thrushpelt. And finally someone who does something with Spottedleaf's Heart! I know that book was horrible, but it's still a book in the series! I mean, you can't say it doesn't get anything in MAPs because it's a novella, because Cloudstar's Journey, Mistystar's Omen, Leafpool's Wish, Hollyleaf's Story, and many others have been in MAPs. There aren't really any other books taking place during the time of Spottedleaf's Heart, besides a little bit of Bluestar's Prophecy. And I loved how this showed how Thrushpelt cared for Spottedleaf since he is her mentor.

And honestly yeah, the authors wrote it terribly because that’s a really terrible way to write about child grooming or even manipulation, but it’s still a canon book to the series and I’m gonna use all the information that I have in there! A MAP of Spottedleaf’s Heart is gonna come out from me soon!

This makes me think that a MAP contrasting Thrushpelt and Thistleclaw would be really cool. They're polar opposites and nothing shows that more than how differently they responded to similar circumstances in their lives, with Thistleclaw treating others like tools, trophies or obstacles whereas Thrushpelt was there for everyone regardless of whether or not it benefited him.
This MAP is incredible though, beautiful and a wonderful concept. The designs are SO GOOD and the atmosphere is so perfect with the song choice. Thank you, creators!
It honestly depends on ones upbringing to be fair. I’m not sure who was Thrushpelt’s mentor nor I missed out on that one, but for sure Amberfang was a really strict mentor to thistle, with also his connections to the dark forest. And thank you so much!! I really appreciate it! ❤️
Thrushpelt is the best. To be honest, he is one of the characters that I looked up at; even though his heart was broken, he still cared for Bluefur and her kits. He didn't turn evil and go on a rampage like Ashfur. Thrushpelt sets a great example for everyone whose heart have been broken.

That was gorgeous! It's been a couple of years since I read the Warriors series, but I've been watching maps/amvs here and there. This is hands down one of my favorites! The artists are SO talented and now I realize just how adorable Thrushpelt is. He's totally a cinnamon roll :3
