menstrual cycle was so hard for me and what's worse is that my teacher made it so complicated but after watching this video i literally understand each and everything you said i wish there were teachers like you in my school
Haven’t done a freescience lesson in a while, man I forgot how much I love them
You're the only channel keeping me from failing biology. Thank you so much.
In seeing this video I have realised how much my teacher didn't explain during the lesson.
Time to watch every other one of these videos to find out how much of the GCSE course I have missed.
How are u doing now?
You don’t need to know the full names for the hormones for the exam, just the abbreviations, but I found it was worth remembering FSHs full name. I could never remember what it did, but as soon as I remembered it was folical stimulating hormone, I remembered it matured the eggs in the ovaries.
I can't even describe how much you mean to us as IGCSE students!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just thank you soooo much for being straight forward, simplistic and at the same time clear when explaining!
just makes you appreciate how complex even the smallest thing in the human body is
Please give this man BEST TEAChER AWARD ! THANKS SO, SO MUCH , MR BEST TEACHER !
Lets go lads
Are you going to do A level videos in the future?

such a hero made me understand in this less than 10 min than my teacher in one hour
Mr Donnelly, getting things done as per usual
thats his name?
duh
Sir Shaba Shaun Donnelly
Thank you sir! You explained what my teacher failed to explain in 50 minutes in 5 minutes
11 hours and 11 minutes until bio paper 2, good luck everyone!
25 days until first exam I CANT BE BOTHERED AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
22 DAYS!! Well 23 for me :) Just remember to get something productive done EVERY 3 hours of free time you have, follow this rule and you'll get something done.
Don't worry. Just try and get something easy done every day, like 3ish 6 mark questions and mark them. You'll learn stuff without having to think about it much as long as you figure out where you went wrong each time + you learn how to write questions
I’ve got an hour till biology :’)
I have my Cambridge Biology exam tomorrow. This helped. Thank you, sir!
How did it go ?
This video = My science teacher's career
Like I've learn so much from this video, thank you, your a life saver!
I'm so glad this is free
thankyou so much. i was so preplexed before but after watching your video the whole confusion has gone away
His videos always help me understand difficult topics
thank you so much for this, i never understood how the hormones interact but i finally learnt it about an hour before my exam thanks to this video and a 3 marker came up on it! absolute legend
Absolutely Brilliant Video, so easy to understand!

you definitely made me understand this better! thank you!
really helpful for last minute revision
I'll be honest i didn't understand this at all when it was taught to me in class but now after watching your video and taking notes it all makes and now hopefully i can be prepared for my end of unit assesment and exceed my target grade
Very Helpful! Thank You!
if im older and i become a techer, ima just play this video in class once, and then everyone gets it instantly,
Hi thank you so much the videos , they have been helping me all year . I was just wondering when you will have finished this topic by? Thanks again!

Thank you, Sir, Best Teacher !
Your saving lives rn. Think of gcses as a plague....😭
Saving lives 😭🌟🥺 love this man
Cool tie, and the videos are great as well.
Can't believe i'm watchign this again for Psychology homework lol
goat, have my gcse tomorrow and might pass because of you
Hi Mr Donnelly,
Do you know any useful mnemonics for remembering the functions of the 4 hormones?
love the video mate👍
Thank you for the excellent resources sir. Just wondering, after oestrogen inhibits FSH why does progesterone inhibit it as well?
No problem and thanks for the comment. Progesterone is released if the woman is pregnant. Progesterone inhibits FSH so that no more eggs are matured. If an egg matured and was released while a woman was already pregnant then it could be fertilised. By inhibiting FSH, this is prevented.
Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏🙏
love your videos! They really help me understand biology better
Shout out to the ppl watching this the night before the test bcs they forgot to study
Day before biology gcse and this guy is all the revision ive done 🤪🤪🤪
thank you for this
It all makes perfect sense!!!!!!
So this was easy? Man I was so scared about this topic but I understand now
Hi Sir, would it be helpful to memorise the graph of hormones for the exam
Good stuff Sir thank you
@Freesciencelessons Irrelevant questions but does this have to do with negative and positive feedback? As one hormone is inhibited by another or produced for of?
how are these lessons free omg, thank you so much for saving my gcses lmfao
Ayy last minute revision squad!!!
I chose the greatest time to revise this, ughhhhh

Your videos are very simple and easy to understand. Do they cover all the small details we need to know for our exams, or are they simplified? Thank you.

Sir, you r saving my life 😂.
great video as per
bio paper 2 in 3 weeks getting that 7-7
Is this topic even in the paper?
I sure hope so
Aaaaaaaa I have no words to say THANK YOU
Brilliant
Night before Paper 2 gang lessgooo
thanks
Does the start of a cycle begin with a period or the release of an egg? I get confused by this doing past papers
wow wow wow thank you thank you thank you...i cannot believe i understood this
this man might be a don, love him
in the exam is it sufficient to say FH and LSH instead of the whole terms ?
Imran Khan yes!
Having a topical test tomorrow and im here watching this video at 1am. This topic has to be one of my weaker ,or if not, weakest topic in Bio. Anyone?
How does oestrogen stop FSH and then progesterone also stop it.
Can u do A- level material please?
Hi, i hope you take the time to respond to this comment. Obviously we have our exams very soon and there isn't time to revise everything again. For Physics, chemistry and biology which topics are the MOST important for me to have drilled in my head? Thanks.
@freesciencelessons
I think there is enough time to revise everything. But to answer your question, my teacher said revise the topics you feel the least like revising, as those are usually the ones you struggle with. I would still go over the entire spec even if it's breifly. And make sure to look at common exam questions as some of these seem to come in every year's paper.
Hope this helped.
do u draw the animations or how does it work
I draw them myself.
Loving the haircut in this video 😂
If the egg is fertilised, will progesterone still be released?
How much more of the course do you still need to cover?
I have 6 videos recorded that I need to finish and upload and then about 25 more videos to record and upload. That should be about three weeks work. However, the videos for the paper 1 exams are done.
+Freesciencelessons excellent thank you for your continued effort :)

Life saver
Walking toward the exam hall tomorrow listening to 'the sound of silence'
Half an hour before exam gang
where is workbook?
Is ovulation and Period the same thing like
Ovulation is when after 28 days the egg is released from the ovaries
Wheres
The period is when the uterus lining and egg releases
Ovulation occurs on day 14 when the egg is released from the ovary. If the egg is not fertilised after 28 days then it is released from the uterus along with the uterus lining, and this is a period.
i love u
KNIGHTHOOD
In an exam, would you get marked down if you only write the abbreviations, like FSH or LH? Or is it required to remember the exact wording?
No you don't have to remember the exact words. LH,FSH etc.... is fine
yo army, im assuming you finished gcses now?
@@MintyMinho i was gonna say the same thing lmao
bio exam tomorrow 🤩✌️
I simp this man
Exam tomorrow, here to cramm
At day 14 FSH has a small increase and then drops off again, why is that?
It is inhibited by oestrogen
The menstrual cycle is a good way to get to around town!
Do we need to know the exact names of hormones in the exam, or can we abbreviate?
you can abbreviate FSH and LH
2 hours until exam
