I really like Kelly and Jimmy! They both seem like really sweet and down to earth people. They would be really great to hang out with and have some really interesting conversations with.
Our daughters say "how many sleeps until we go" if we're going somewhere, it's so cute (also a bit repetitive after saying it 20+ times lol 😂) but this sounds like a great book. I love watching The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon he is such a funny guy, Kelly would be fantastic at hosting SNL she is such a relatable lady.

Worst gift..... at the time I thought it was the worst gift. Sonny & Cher dolls. I really wish I had them now!! Best gift, my brother got me Meatloafs "Bat Out of Hell" album & packed it in a Sunday newspaper before wrapping it. It was the hardest gift to guess. It felt like a tablecloth or sheets it was so heavy. Lol.
And the best thing my mom did was use boxes to wrap gifts that had nothing to do with the gift. Like a Nike shoe box for socks, etc. Great memories 🤶🎅
The story about their skipping the books is super funny and super cute!!
I may or may not have skipped several sentences on a page instead of skipping whole pages. Or made up my own condensed sentences. They didn't seem to notice. Until they could read lol.

I used to make up bedtime stories for my daughter by asking her questions before starting and she loved it. It was great because like you said after reading books 50-100 times they have them memorized and know if you skip anything and she couldn’t do that with the made up stories.

When we were on car trips my younger sisters would ask how many rugrats(the cartoon) until we’re there? This came from us kids not knowing any sense of time. If we asked how long til we get there and they say this many hours we’d still be like is that long? And so my mom decided to tell us how long using shows we loved. So when asked she’d be like two rugrats etc. but when my older sister and I are kids and asked the show used to measure how long was Full House.
Jimmy looks better without a suit, I think almost anyone does. I get why guys wear them to look professional but I think they look out of style.

He got a DVD of The Big Chill as a gift in 1983? DVDs debut to the public market in 1997. The Big Chill got a DVD release in 1999.
The movie came out in 83, but he said he was 13, so that would have been 87, and I'm sure he meant VHS.

How many sleeps till..? Oh my goodness, this started for me with our oldest granddaughter. She is 8 now. I have even put a countdown on the calendar to camping trips so they don't ask every day... they all ask still, just not ALL THE TIME!! Loved this!!

Kelly doesn’t know “The Big Chill”? You’re young but it’s a classic. Watch it. Our niece used to ask “are we” there yet? And my sister used to tell her in half hours by saying, “three I Love Lucy’s.”

I love Jimmy Fallon, but his jokes are starting to become bland and forced. Also, it's not funny when you try to laugh with your guests when I can tell you aren't genuinely laughing out of joy.
