To the west is your empire, a developing chick waiting to crack past its eggshell. To the east, a paranoid cuckoo keeps obsessive tabs on your gradual encroachment, knowing full well he’s next in line for extirpation. Once just another of Frank’s rivals, now the only other gangster that has done well enough to sprawl beyond their home turf, the time has come to properly take your campaign to Gaspar Gomez.
Of course, it would be a kamikaze move to drill directly into North Beach, as Gaspar’s goons have taken your critical snipe during your penthouse visit as evidence to overhaul their armories. Remember, with Sosa as his benefactor, defense budgets are an immaterial concern. Therefore, it’s wiser to attack the malignant appendix before any colectomy can even be planned. Enter South Beach, the perfect location to commence this endeavor.
Laidback beachgoers and tourists prowl the streets, estival seagulls adorably bicker over abandoned food, the glow of neon soothes like a nostalgic nightlight. Of course, you’d understandably summarize SoBe as more grotesque than tranquil. Drug dealers hawk their ill-gotten stock to criminal middlemen, the screams of two-stroke terror reverberate years after the fact, the visages of aghast pensioners after having their cozy monotony gorily shatter in broad daylight. Despite your lurid history there and the vitality of the cartel currently commanding it, it cannot be understated what swiping South Beach from Gaspar would represent. Every implosion his pawn bears, the Bolivian marionettist faces tenfold.

Considering all other possible venues were either prohibitively expensive or were too much of a technical headache, I opted instead to downloading this game off an abandonware site. The Remastered Mod was retrieved through Nexus Mods, and it considerably overhauls the game’s quality without sacrificing what made the original a cult classic.
As much as I attempt to get copies of all games through legitimate means, Scarface: The World is Yours is like my coverage of the Amiga port of Road Rash. As I had to for the latter, emulation is currently the best feasible means of playing the former.
