- From my new series, an extremely rare review show from the 1986 british gp were nigel mansell drove with his heart in his sleave in an attempt to win in the legendary Williams fw11 against the brilliant brazillian piquet. Rights to respective parties.

I've got this on VHS somewhere - Clive James is hilarious. Funny and scathing commentary from start to finish. One of the best F1 review tapes of all time!! Love it

Clive James - as masterful with words as Mansell was with the wheel...
Was at this GP standing just down from Paddock hill bend. I remember the start crash and was amazed that it took nearly an hour to get him out of the car. That was sadly the end of Jack Laffite's F1 career. When we saw the car being brought back to the pits dangling on a truck we knew there and then how bad it was. The restart went better for Mansell and was a thrilling dual to the flag. Murry's commentary on the tape I have of that race now brings tears to my eyes. You can't replace him, he was simply a one off. Thank you for all the years of pleasure you brought to F1 Murry and thank you for the photo you posed with me for. It is a treasure indeed. See you soon...............

Here today after Sir Frank is no more. There wasn't any better thing to watch as a tribute to him
Sadly that starting accident would signal the end of laffite's career.
That back marker changed the race. He blocked Piquet who was about to overtake him.
Mansall made a false start (as well as others behind him)
EXQCmoi Yes indeed! Clutch drag is allowed to a certain point, but he and others floored it just (JUST) before the green light showed!
