@@parodeejay All 3 of us have been loving the videos and at the same time are so sad we aren’t there this year. Our family is booked to go this December though. Thank you far sharing.
The resort, suite and pools look amazing. What a bonus for Dee with all the cats. Good to hear that they are well cared for. Looking forward to these videos and appreciate you taking us along.
Looking forward to our 14 nights stay in 2022 (This year's Holiday cancelled) this is the best Video I've seen to show what is available for those that haven't stayed before. Thanks
This was probably the biggest resort we've been to, besides our original stay at Occidental Xcaret. It was so fun to explore though, once we got our bearings!! :P
We loved getting to know all the various cats, ha ha... though I'm pretty sure we saw some that weren't fixed... hopefully they're keeping up on that program!!
SOOO cool you are doing all these resorts!! The phone in the toilet really cracked me up!! Did you use it?! The Coofee bar cracked me up! Too bad that so much is closed; it looks like a very nice and HUGE resort. I sort of liked the opening between the bathtub and the bedroom. Thanks for sharing!
I discovered later that the phone next to the bed just didn't work... no dial tone, nothing. So it was probably trying really hard to ring, but just didn't, ha ha... :P
We definitely spent WAY too much time on the lazy river, ha ha... and I never did point out the red button again, but it was just a dimmer knob for the bedside lamp. No self-destruct this time!! :P
Looking forward to this series! There’s a very nice hotel here in Memphis that has that weird window from the bathroom to the bedroom at the whirlpool tub. What’s really odd is that, if the window is open, you can see someone sitting on the toilet!
Hi guys thankx for the video I found it very informative as I ve never been to Mexico and I’ve reserved this place for two weeks with my family of 12 So like you say experience has to start from some where I’ll let you know how it works out haha but only if you want me too thankx again lc from Canada 🇨🇦
As always, great video. Just sitting here in cold Halifax waiting for todays video. Hope you enjoy your travels this week. Will you be putting out a vlog for your travels around NC and GA?
Thanks so much! Yes indeed, we vlogged our entire tour of the southeast U.S. and will have those videos after we wrap our next series from Sunscape Akumal!! :D
We stayed in 2015, loved the place. We were goin to book again January 2020 but they had serious issues with Sargassum weed, do they still have the problem? I remember a fella of the Canuck persuasion smashing his head open on the underwater seat in front of the swim up bar🤮🤮🤮. Can't wait to get back there. Thanks for the memories.
Just subscribed. You guys are tons of fun to watch!! Will you consider going to Ocean Riviera Paradise resort in Riviera Maya and doing a tour blog there too?
Hey guys I’m on the fence between this resort and occidental xcaret. Can you guys please steer me in the right direction? What’re the good and bad of both and which would you do again if you had to pick?
Depends on which you want more... Occidental Xcaret is good for nature and being able to possibly access to the park next door... Grand Sirenis had a better beach, better snorkeling, and better pools!! :D
@@parodeejay We are booked into Bahia Principe Akamul in seven weeks time, bit nervous as reviews have been getting worse but hopefully will be okay. Would love to sit and chat by the pool with Dee . Did you like the style of Serenis or too modern 🤔
They really were! We noticed once we got to our third resort of this trip, which was a slightly "larger" name like Sunscape, there were a lot more people floating around.
@@parodeejay we just booked a 2 for 1 special at Akumal Bay Beach & Wellness Resort for the end of April. Sunscape was our second choice. Looking forward to seeing the Vlogs. 😎🌴
Howdy, I LOVE your videos! If you could make note of the availability of gluten free food items as you come across them I would so appreciate it. We are getting ready to start traveling again and my daughter and I have to eat gluten free for medical reasons. Thanks so much!
If we see items on the buffet and whatnot, we usually do try to mention them, but there really wasn't anything to note around this property. I assume if you had a gluten intolerance, they should be able to whip something up in the kitchen, but I assume by special request only. Hmm.
You guys are sweet and hilarious! 🤣 I'm looking to go to Mexico this year, 2022, and you've kinda sold me on this one. Question please... Is the lazy river pretty basic, or does it have small waterfalls, etc.? Anything else that may make it stand out as a good choice? I'm going with my hubby, my sister with her hubby for birthday celebrations. They want sort of a grown party resort without the college kids and things to do. One more thing... Are there things nearby to do? (Not Excursion related)
Thankee! Yes, the lazy river there is a simple float, nothing fancy like waterfalls. Sometimes they turn the sprinklers on, but that's about it, hah... it would probably be a good fit overall though!! :D
great videos! Did you happen to notice if they had vegan food? I'm considering this hotel, especially because of the cats and the snorkeling, but just worried about the food
We haven't noticed a ton of vegan options in our travels... they'll have a handful of things marked "vegetarian" but I don't know about truly vegan. Might prove to be more difficult for buffet meals, but I would hope that the dinner restaurants could take special orders!!
@@parodeejay thanks for the reply! I'm really enjoying your videos and it looks so much fun there. Hopefully they do take special requests or maybe I can contact them beforehand

Hope it gets better... so far seems to be a run down property. No real mexican flavor. It seems to have everything but everything seems to be cheap (for Mexico standards). Yeap, you just said it...a lot of plastic around 😄 ps love the cats!
The facilities around the resort were nice, and it was a huge property with lots to explore. But I see those super-cheap plastic loungers at lots of places, and I know I'm not meant to sit upon them, ha ha... :P ~Jay
The cats seem to be a big part of this resort experience, seeing as they have a dedicated section set aside to feed them where they can play. We wanted to include every aspect of the resort, including the cats!! :P
Forgot this was starting today. I had to stop what I was watching to see this. I was in the middle of rewatching your Crown Princess series.😀
One year ago today I was arriving at Grand Sirenis for a great holiday with 2 of my best friend. I can do it virtually today. Thanks.

I've heard the term "tortie" before but thought it was only for purebred cats like Himalayans and whatnot. That's cool!!
