Strangely, the "Wear and tear from external sources resistance" somehow affects overall durability increase too, so Kharod's ammo conversion mod does, in fact, increase overall wear resistance, and may be more effective than normal wear resistance that supposedly doesn't protect from anomaly damage and such (honestly not sure how to properly test that yet).
@@pillagius so weapons have HP and amount of shots before break. And I think “wear and tear from external sources” simply increases gun hp, which in turn makes it more durable to shots too. To test it we need to grab two low hp, low amount of shots guns and test by choosing different upgrades on then and shoot equal amount rounds first. And then having both guns equipped throw some grenades under yourself. After lets say 50 shots and 10 nades, we compare which was better
at the end game u can upgrade everything to max level so why wonder what minimal upgrades u need ? once u get to the PONR u can sell everything u have. For final mission I went out with full backpack. 5 fully updated weapons and 2 armours. There is no need to save money at the end game.
I've tested the wear and tear upgrade (I believe it was the Vintorez with the extended mag) and the price of unloading a mag basically doubles it. With no upgrades, 21 mag = 400 cost of repair; with wear and tear upgrade it went to 800 so idk if it is actually worth it.
I think the main selling point of the upgrade was to reduce the odds of jams from durability damage if you're out in the Zone for some time, rather than make it more cost-efficient to repair if you have regular access to techs.
The SVU MK3 armor pen mod is bugged, none of the technician in the zone can install the mod though, doesn't really matter since it can still one shot headshot exos in veteran.
@@pasza_dem there isn't one. Already got "gather all upgrade blueprints" achievement - the final BP you find is for Saiga and others don't have anything related to AP upgrade on SVU and no technician before or after "Point of no return" can get you that upgrade. Likely a bug, or something disabled for future DLC.
If you’re interested, check out Moth’s Weapon System Overhaul or Oxide’s mod (I forget what it’s called). They’re both trying to make it so that every attachment can go on every weapon that makes sense. Not sure if they’ve gotten to the SVU yet, but if not they will eventually.
Will you do a review about all of these guns(you done Kharod, Dnipro, RAM-2, M701, Rhino, APSB) sir? Mark 1 EMR for example, many players says that it is an absolute beast upgraded.
Generally no, unless you want lead containers and artifact slots. You spike the value of armor with each upgrade spiking repair costs to absurd levels if you overupgrade.

If you have played the game a lot and know what to do, sure. If you are a brand new player and are broke all the time, knowing which upgrades are useless and what weapons can be run cheaply is useful.
You get 2x less money on Veteran compared to normal difficulty. On normal I can upgrade every gun I have and still have some money left, on Veteran you need to be smart about it.
So I've reserved any negativity till now but if in fact the devs meant for this counter intuitive design for upgrades then I'm going to have to change my stance. The map is trash to begin with, whoever switched the biomes and p.o.i.'s either didn't care or they had no clue as to previous positioning (which actually made sense).
I play whole game with AK74 with full upgrades and some blueprints best gun in game you have Always ammo 5.45 drop from 70% enemies cheap for repair like 3k all enemy one shot head 5 bullets body and you dont need special weapons like combatant all have same Stats same dmg 😂

I find most guns easy to control without recoil upgrades so I'd only do wear and tear or movement buffs
except saiga you want every % of recoil you can get
dnipro as well
@minzekatze currently I am running both of those and the bolt action sniper

You probably need to find pendrive for it.

the kiparis and rat killer are endgame-worthy as well imo

the pp19, buket, vss and asval are endgame weapons as well imo
buket ap 2 tap exo, and the other three all 3 tap
