Cooking high protein meals that actually taste good is tough, but its even tougher when you have little time, and just can’t get excited about the idea of downing a protein shake, or heating up the same leftover meal for the third day in a row.
So today, I want to share 3 high protein lunches I cook when I have no time.

Please make this a regular series. For many of us coming up with tasty meals with decent macros which isn’t a hassle to cook is a challenge.
Highly recommend the last one he did with spicy ground Turkey garlic noodles!
Plus, video format like this is way better than, say, a written recipe. Ethan at least gives us a realistic time estimate, cooking techniques, and we can visually see the portions of spices, yogurt, etc., for example. :D
@@sketchur also very realistic, almost like a follow along.
@@sketchurtime frame isn't really realistic but yeah
I came here to ask him to make more of these videos because I LOVE his macro breakdowns! ETHAN! WE NEED MORE!
Im so glad you made this, I just started my diet and these are gonna be my meal prep! Plus that butter chicken recipe 🤤
Glad I could help! I just started a mini cut myself, so have been looking for some new go tos as well 👍
@@EthanChlebowski also on a cut and I think that wrap is going to get in the rotation. Your sheet pan thigh nuggets always save me too when I'm craving wings or nuggets.
@@dabnessofp the bare brand of nuggets from Costco is also pretty good!
😊
I hope see😊E 🎉
For those of us that don't have access to Vite Ramen, I highly recommend using some kind of wholewheat egg noodles and similar, as those are also high in protein usually, and leave you fuller for a longer time.
My go-to quick ramen sauce is gochujang, tahini and soy sauce, as well as some of the starchy pasta water. The time spent cooking to result-ratio is really nice, and the meal can just as well be a dinner you cook for guests, as well as a quick lunch.
lmao I went to order the noods and those MFs ship in a month.. pain. Those noodles looked fire and I was hoping for a substitute 🙏🏼 Tysm!!
Thank you for this!
GOAT!
I forget the brand but there's also chickpea pasta that I've seen sold at Walmart, target, and sprouts. 20g of protein per serving. The texture won't be ramen-esq but if you don't mind a firmer pasta noodle for more like a lo Mein effect it's perfectly fine. Barilla makes a protein pasta as well that's more tender but half the protein
The chicken wrap is like a simplified version of the doner kebab recipe that you've uploaded to the channel before. Highly appreciate seeing a delicious but simpler version of that. great channel!
i've been doing his Döner recipe as a salad and its great! just make that chicken with the Döner seasoning mix, dice (or for speed, mandolin) around 50-100g cucumber (~1-2 Persian cucumbers) and 100g tomato (~1large or 2 medium-small), and around 100g Shredded cabbage (You can buy pre-shredded if you are looking to save some time) add in something bright like pickled onion or pepperoncinis, top with chicken, a bit of tzatziki (~60g) and some sriracha to taste.
Yeah I’ve made a dozen of them and it def works!
Looks more like shawarma
That first dish with the spicy beef has been known in my neck of the woods as Taco Salad for 40 years.
🤣🤣🤣 I was going to say the same.
Throw the salad into a snack-bag of Fritos and that's a walkin' taco.
exactly
The guy himself literally called it “not taco salad”
Yeah I'm yelling at the video ITS A TACO SALAD OBVIOUSLY
Excellent work!! You get straight to the point, your video is unfettered, you use good music, your directions are clear, your filming is on point.
I love how easy you make it all seem!!!!
Thank you
That chicken wrap looks so insanely good that I’m doing it this week instead of the soup I had planned. Glad I caught this upload right before my grocery trip!
I've been using your recipes from the Meal Prep Chicken video for a while now and I often make a wrap just like this with some of the pan-fried mayo chicken thighs. I love your approach to simple, tasty and healthy meals that don't have to be complicated or time-consuming. I love to cook, but I don't always have the time to make a whole meal from scratch. Thanks for inspiring me to pursue a more balanced and simple cooking routine with prepped ingredients!
I went straight away to make the beef salad bowl and it is REALLY amazing! I used greek yogurt instead.
It is called a taco salad.
I LOVE these series including your other video for high protein, low calorie foods that taste good. Butter chicken and pizza are my favorite and now part of my weekly rotation. Please keep making this video man, really changed my life
This channel is my favourite cooking on UA-cam. The sheer simplicity of the meals are so insanely helpful to my life and it’s just delicious. Thank you
i love this! I would love this to become a regular series!!
I would really love more of this. While I'd hate to see you boxed into one category itself, you've a very unique way of breaking down this stuff.
Thanks!
Your content is so helpful! Can't wait to try all of these out with my family
I really enjoy *this* type of content cause you show us how creative you are😊 thanks Ethan!
You are by far my favourite cooking channel on this website. I've followed a few of your recipes and they've turned out great every time. You've actually reignited my passion for cooking because your recipes are always simple and low effort yet taste absolutely banging, thanks Ethan
If you don*t know the channel “Sip & Feast” already I can wholeheartedly recommend it. His channel and Ethan’s are my favorites. Because they both use simple ingredients you can get everywhere, and are generally on the easier side. You don’t have to search for obscure stuff in a specialty store or get some elusive cut of meat at your butcher’s. So considering your stated reason for liking Ethans content you may also like Sip & Feast.
@@In5an1tyB Sip and Feast is great
@@In5an1tyB I checked out the channel. It's pretty good. Thank you for your recommendation.
I'm glad you made this! "High protein fast meals" is what has been in my search history all week. Perfect timing!
I love it! So easy and quick, never really thought about those combinations before
Love this series, keep up the great meal ideas with Macros Ethan!
Love the taco salad idea. I'm always looking for quick, healthy, and affordable high-protein lunches or post-workout meals. This'll work.
I love that a lot of your recipes are GF! You're saving my busy weeknights. Thanks!
I made the tortilla chip beef salad recipe last week and it was so good! All your yogurt based sauces are super flavorful
your channel is by far the BEST food youtube channel to me. Your recipes have good macros, they're acceessible, and theyre GOOOOD. AND THE EEDEITING IS SO GOOD I LOVE YOU SO MUCHHHHHHHHHHH AND YOUR MOUSTACHE
Enjoying the recent lunch videos. More of this please
Hey Ethan, just a heads up that the graph you have for the ramen macros at 5:16 is still using the taco salad one.
Ya I was wondering how he got 30g of protein from 1 egg
@@aland2249 the protein is high because he used the Vite Ramen
@@aland2249 he has a pet ostrich
@@aland2249 The 30g is correct, just the graph is wrong. The vite ramen noodles are very high protein, unfortunately if you aren't in the U.S. I can't find a good alternative.
Yeah the carb should be doubling the protein...
Hey, would you consider making a similar video for breakfast? Trying to find some nice high protein meals for weekend mornings.
For breakfast, I got this idea while working in a find dining Taiwanese restaurant, white rice, over easy egg, grilled onion with a dash of soy sauce and sriracha. So good!
Rice and egg is so good. I like mine with sesame oil, fresh black pepper, soy sauce, and gochujang. Basically the super poor person’s bibimbap, minus all of the delicious vegetables 🤣 (I’m Korean, please don’t @ me 🙏🏼 hahah)
I really appreciate your videos! I don't always have the motivation to cook, and these definitely motivate me. I don't tolerate tomatos or peppers well ( I have on and off acid reflux) but this all looked delicious.
Vite Ramen looks damn good... Too bad they are so darn expensive.
10 Dollars per serving is just insane
Yeah I don't mind sponsored segments like chucking some sponsored wine into a dish.
But that noodle dish was on another level. The entire premise of the recipe only works if you buy the sponsor ingredient. Pretty disappointing to see ethan pull that garbage
@Jai I bet that would make something close in taste but the macros would be way off. Normal ramen doesn't have the protein that Vite does. Though I am gonna give this a try too!
@@MrOutOfMana I suppose you could add a scoop of neutral protein to your Ramen, won't affect the taste considering you're adding a very flavorf sauce,
Honestly, it's a garbage product. Buy regular ramen, eat a half or 2/3rds portion, add an extra egg or some tofu and you pretty much get the exact same macros at a fraction of the cost. Like...a fraction of a fraction. You really going to pay 10x the price of Ramen for 10g of protein? Also, even as advertised, 26 g of protein is not really that high of protein.
00:58 to get that specific taco texmex meat, I actually add anchillo chilli powder in the mix as well!
Thanks for the recipes Ethan. Purchased the noodles, going to try all the recipes.
That wrap looks delicious! I’ll have to try it. I like to buy bags of pre-grilled sliced chicken from the freezer section and keep a batch of cooked rice in the fridge and then it is super easy to whip up quick burrito bowls or stir fry.
I am so glad I found you channel. Thank you 🙏🏽
Great meal ideas. Fast and delicious. I like the different sauce flavor ideas too. Will be trying those.
this came right on cue, uni is madness and i need quick proteins :D thank you!
Please more of this!
I love the wraps! I will definitely give those a try!
I purposefully scroll for your new videos! LOVE your channel! 🎉
We really appreciate these recipes Ethan!
I made the taco salad in a big bowl and shared with my mom for breakfast 🤤 I subbed the green sauce for red chili pepper sauce and added diced tomatoes 🫶🏿 we both loved it !!!!
Thank you for these great ideas. I am constantly looking for high protein, low carb/sugar foods for lunches and dinners. I am also looking for low sugar/carb desserts so any ideas for these would be awesome. I'm really enjoying watching your channel.
I'm a big fan of prep ahead meals. For work, I make 1-2 weeks worth of food at a time. All I do is run the rice cooker while I'm getting ready for work and life is good. Big bulk cooking also drives the price of earing down, which is helpful considering how things are gong right now. That being said, backup cooked chicken is an absolute godsend when you're hungry and pressed for time.
I agree with everything you said except prepping food 2 weeks out. Please never eat something you prepped over 7 days prior. Shelf stable foods yes but never anything you made that needs to be refridgerated.
@@Quichebro I mean, they might be freezing stuff?
@@chloedove4047 that’s what i would guess. i do that every once in a while as well
@Chloe Dove you’re right that would be fine. Preserved/ fermented/ pickled things as well. I wouldn’t eat anything (pickled onions aside) from this video 2 weeks out though.
Dope vid yet again! Love your stuff bro
I made those noodles today and they were BOMB!! The sauce is AWESOME too, thank you
Great work as always, and the ad is actually pretty good too. Was looking for healthy noodles for a long time. I love ramen, when I was a kid it was a special meal from America that came in packages from grandma. Good ol times.
I just made the chicken wrap and it was so delicious! That sauce is amazing! I can’t wait to try more of your recipes. I just discovered your channel and I’m impressed.
Where did you get your lavash?!
@@glutz4993 Trader Joes
Thanks for the video Ethan. I'm going to change my diet back to the healthier side and this was right on time. Take care of yourself man!
awesome stuff! thanks for the inspiration.
Lavash can get soggy, so you can place the wrap back into the pan and slightly dry it on all sides (same goes for stored in fridge/freezer - it's better than microwaving it, unless you prefer the softer texture). Great recipe though. And you can customize it a lot
The beef salad was freaking awesome!! Had for lunch today and it will be a staple moving forward.
If you wanna add more protein to the taco salad meal, a few company's like Quest and Atkins make protein chips that in my opinion are pretty tasty, they can add like an extra 15 grams or more
Great vid as always, thanks!
Loved the recipes!
Pretty over chicken and rice after the summer is past so thanks for this 🙏
Love this! The first recipe is so easy and totally customizable, you could add tomatoes, beans, tofu crumble, mash it up however.
I am going to try the wraps for next week lunch!
Thank you Ethan these look great to try out!
Great video, Ethan, the wrap looks delicious.
Here's a vid suggestion: deep dive into batch cooking/meal prepping
Yes plz!
Just because of your freaking epic mustage! I'm gonna listen to you and make atleast one meal to try it out! Thanks for bieng awesome
The yoghurt/chili sauce sounds great!
Please make this a regular series!
Amazing and inspiring, thanks!
These are what I have time to make when I DO have time to cook...
Perfectly simple, fast, probably pretty tasty … this guy can cook 🙏🏻
I dan't have acces to all the stuff you are describing here, but gotta say you enlighted my wheigt loss program A LOT. Thanks bro!
Worchestershire is a perfect substitute for black vinegar- it's very similar but a more glutamic acid, so more savory, with a bit more depth and a hint of tomato left over. black vinegar is like a one note 'tang' of worchestershire.
Keep up the good videos! Love em!
Great idea, I will include them in my diet.
Fantastic! Thank you!😊
The struggle is real. Thank you for sharing. Will definitely try out that gochujang noodle recipe.
The first meal is a Ground Beef Mexican bowl, you can add white rice or even Mexican rice as a base and black beans then lettuce, meat, cheese and cream
I'm glad I'm not the only one that shovels noodles into my mouth in one bite
Made the wrap at the end of the video. I see what you did there. Well done.
I love peanutbutter sandwich! Only takes 1 minute to prepare!
Best daily lunch ever!
was so happy when I tried Vite ramen and it was actually good.
Protein shakes depress me haha. This video is just pure gold! Gonna try everything, sometimes I'm lazy but also picky so this will be so useful.
the taco salad and burrito i need to prepare for work. but those would pack well.
Hi Ethan! I made these too. But 1/2 lavash is 120 calories. 1 full lavash is 240, but your macros seem to be for a full sandwich. The sandwich I made (which is identical to yours) is 551 calories, 53 carbs, 13 fat, 52 protein, with the full lavash. 7:48
Literally couldn't have come at a better time. I recently took a look at myself and noticed that 220 lbs at 30% body fat with a sedentary lifestyle is not how I want to live, so I've started tracking all my calories and macros and hitting the gyms. Currently trying to begin a weight loss and fitness journey at the same time, but I'm way more driven than I ever have been for this!
those noodles + bone broth would be amazing for protein !!
You should do a video on MacroFactor! Love it, was pretty stoked to realize you were using it.
Hey Ethan, love the videos! They have got me cooking more. Could you do a video on what apps you use and how you use them to track your nutrition? This is omethong I lack and I notice you always show these tools in your videos. Thanks!
He uses Macrofactor - it's really good
Ethan! I make my beef exactly the same but add fennel seeds. It adds so much flavor! Haven’t tried tomato paste. Yet. Will try soon.
Can you do a video on how long different meats continue to cook after being taken from the heat?
Seasoned beef and salad bowl is really good but I like to add kidney beans what ever beans I have on hand and mix with the cook beef I cut out the yogurt, and will add a slice or 2 of smoked guda
You are speaking directly to me here 😂. I hate meal prepping, but am really trying to like it.
I grew up with this though we always put the chips under the lettuce, we called them haystacks! It's also great to use for if you have company over put the ingredients in different bowls and then it's create your own and everyone can add what they want and leave what they don't also good for picking eating kids.
You didn’t happen to grow up an Adventist or Mormon did you? This was part of my upbringing also. Haystacks seem to be known in Adventist and Mormon communities.
Great ideas here, I love it
oh that wrap looks amazing , love the ending Ethan !! 😂
The Vite Ramen noodles are really legit. Highly recommend giving them a shot!
Yes! Always happy to see more high protein meals! I'm in a 20% deficit but still have high protein targets to hit (Jeff Nippard's Body Recomp book) so high protein meals regardless are great tools to have in the tool box ☺️☺️☺️
I stopped dieting over a year ago, and 60+ pounds later I decided it’s time to get back into it. What better way than using Ethan’s unfairly easy recipes 🤣
Theres never a bad time to start a diet ;)
It's not about dieting - it's about making lifestyle changing habits. A little bit at a time. Diets always fail. Habits endure.
Good work man
@Park Justin ouch dude! Let him be
@Park Justin rude
Taco-nacho-salad…….one of my go to’s as well. Great minds think alike!! 😆. Thanks for another fabulous video.
Great minds do not think alike. Great minds think differently.

Seasoned Beef Salad Bowl is known as Surfboards. I ate them once a month in my childhood.
Would love to see more high-protein dishes that are meat-free! I partially abstain from meat during Lent, so it would be great to see some vegetarian meal ideas for those days.
The ground meat salad is my go-to meal prep meal
My go to meals are burritos, creamy chicken pasta or just chicken breast with rice and veggies
5:15 an other option in stead of pouring black sesame seed you can add chia seed it’s really tasty
Love your videos, but most of us don't have all these ingredients in our kitchen. Would love a video of what you think are staples to have in your fridge.
cottage cheese with chives is my to go meal if it needs to be quick.
250gr. 0.9% fat. easy to eat. easy to digest.
