Hi, I am a native of Kochi Kerala. There is a small correction. All the islands where people are living already had road connectivity. Everyone can reach the mainland by road. Yes it's true it will take time. That's why people are using boats. In the early days we used to use diesel boats. And I also accept that there are a couple of islands where there is no road connectivity. But from there people moved to the mainland or nearby islands. Over there resorts are built and they bring their guests by boat another way of canvassing tourists. At night if anyone needs to go to the hospital there won't be any boats. They stop their service by 10. So people need to depend on ambulances. And nearby we have a couple of super speciality hospitals too. The only reason why people use the boat still is to escape from the traffic and reach the location quickly.
