      This may seem professional and they say it is but in reality on reservations you'll occasionally see 10yr old kids bare backing these horses going 30-40mph.

      Absolutely!! Look up "NWMT FAIR 2018" then you might learn that they're not using a "WHIP" Like The Jockey's beating that poor horse, I've seen plenty of them get thrown & don't they look ridiculous w/ little hat's glove's tight white pants all muddied up. That's What they earned. The Rich pricks that own the Horse, put it down at the Track, we don't, we retire them, and exercise them & Pray & Worship in the pastures,you never leave A fallen Soldier behind, & bcuz they're family & we'll sell A horse, Not for Profit to put towards another Horse, if you notice in The 2018 race here by my house, It's for fun, showing off their hard work, bragging rights. These Guy's are Fearless & aren't wearing helmets w/ drink holder's, they put on their Warrior Stripes, tennis shoes bandana & They Brush & Braid & They paint "The Boss" on 4 powerful legs to match as they've bonded in a way that is only known from the love, kindness, & knowledge they've nearly perfected.. It's not a Job, It's A Reward for The Rider & Horse, they know that it's time to play, they Love to run, No Saddles or padding. These horses are very sacred to all of our Nation's not just the Tribe I belong to. If you Abuse That Treasured Gift, you're Banned from ALL Relay's, & word travel's fast, these guys start when The Horse is Ready, socializing at their local track, it prepares them for "Traffic on The Corners" & They will know if they're Ready to Earn Their Respect. It's fun & Exciting, It's 3 Horse's, & If someone's whining about losing LoL, they'll Start w/ A Foot Race to Their Secret Weapon & jump on bareback & 0-25mph +/- Around The Track, come in & jump off that Horse & Onto the next Horse & this is called The Exchange" it's ALL of the difference in going from 1st to last, I've watched them Have A Flawless Exchange, & end up squished between another Horse & the chain link fence & get back on only to have the Horse Stop & end up to almost or do have A "slide off" to the other side, & hold 1 Rein & when The Horse realizes that his Rider is slowing Him down, they'll stop & Again they literally Fly right back onto the Horse.. Never A Boring Relay Race, they finish the 2nd Lap & hope that Another Team has similar Luck & The Horse that helped you all fall & winter w/ hunting and providing for their families Gets to Be The Extremely Proud Anchor, after the race is over it always gives me chills 😂 because they know if they won & get their Trophy and Sorta Prance back to the Stall Area & get a Well Deserved Bath. Usually it's A 3 or 4 day stretch at each Fair w/A Track, not just 1 & done lol. I learned to make sure to Always Smile when Speaking to Your Warrior & Look into their Eyes, it's their Soul & Spirit, it tells you how Your Warrior is Feeling, they're like us. Ohhh yah BTW they don't use A Hard WHIP, they have A self-made soft braided leather for the handle w/ 3-4 soft leather in large Loops attached...1 of my little nephews call's it A blinker, so they can get on the inside of the Track & Win. My Dad had A way of letting The Horse know that it's time to pass the Traffic when The Horse was ready, he just let them use the instinct that he worked so hard with them on, at 2 year's old I couldn't see the back of the Track, so I learned to hear the hoove's on the dirt, & I'd look at any of My Uncle's & say it's time, Daddy's going to Win they're passing & 97%of the time I was right & I Loved when it was "A Photo Finish" & he'd literally"Win By A Nose"👋👋🤩" Sometimes it was A brutal training session for the Guy's that couldn't read their Horse. My Dad would say "ok My Girl, Time to Wash & eat a sandwich or whatever & would put me on the Horse & Load-up & head to the next Race, he didn't get paid jack crap, he Always told me the Money is w/ The baddest & angriest Bull. Broken everything & wrap his ribs and 1 hand to steer the truck & trailer, that way when we were pulling out his buddies wouldn't make fun of him for the Band-Aids. Sooo MANY Memories so little time. Our Ancestors were usually drunk & fighting, but as soon as the bell rings, it's game time & onto the Horse they went smdh 😆. These generations learned from them, & exactly Why it's NOT okay to beat anything bloody unless you're being attacked & they don't hunt w/ firearms, Bow & Arrows Only it's would be like how it was back in the day and if I saw somebody creating blood or whatever maybe they were having a bad Day, I couldn't stand it, so I'd run to Uncle's if Daddy was Racing. "Take him around the back" even that young I knew it was bullshyt, that horse is more important than the Rider(Also The Owner & Year 'round Caretakers) THAT HORSE IS Sacred & Majestic as Bald Eagle's are. These guys, (cousins & now nephews are Leading By Example, Make your heart beat the same as the Protector holding Yo' ass up & trust in them & yourself & you'll be aite..🥰🤭🤗🙌🏽❤️🙏🏽✌🏾🥳🐴🐎🐎🐎🐴 yah, I'm related to some of them. They work their asses off outside all year around just getting to know everything about each other. and I'll tell you right now if the horse doesn't like you the horse will not work for you and they use these horses to go hunting so they can feed their families and then the hides get processed. They don't have to, but out of Respect they share the hides & meat as well with the Elders & they're 1st..of course. If they're A Competitive Native Dancer (Look up Supaman, The song is called "Why") or Pow-wow Drummer's, BlackLodge Singers" yes I'm related. (LookUp Montana Pow-Wow, they'll use leftover hides to make their own instruments & for Beading to sew costumes, for Competition or as an extra layer when they go out to hunt/fish & a canteen, or a satchel for whatever they feel they need, not WANT. They always take the little ones that understand we don't have McDonalds in A Field. They're patient & know that they're teaching their children how to Survive & eventually teach their children & it carries on throughout the generations beyond us, steady & skilled & The Heavens will present the "Take" chosen for them. Nothing goes to waste, except A lazy guy,( tee-pee humor), now The Relay Rider's go down to Wyoming and finally got accepted to Relay at Emerald Down's in Seattle Area. We aren't going to quit our ways, WE'RE having too much fun playing outside, WE'RE People just like you, & Our Heritage Gets More Creative & We Welcome EveryOne to Our Traditions & Festivities throughout the year. We will show you A few pieces of History that are breathtaking pieces of Art from hand drums to flutes, guitars, Don't Look at us & walk Away we're not harmful, usually a small carnival outside of the arena & we have The Grand-Exit & Then Celebrate Mass that Sunday, not sure about other Tribes, but Our's Voted year's ago to set A "Dry-Rez The Wednesday night before, at 8pm. Until Sunday Afternoon after Mass, Relay's and kid rodeo event's & a Parade The Grand-Entrance Begins The Beautiful Celebration's.. ohh & did I mention, We Make Fry-Bread!!🙌🏽❤️🙏🏽✌🏾🥳 A piece of Heaven for $1 & everything is Family Oriented & just think of how long it took to make their costumes, & WE'RE STILL U.S CITIZEN'S & THEY CAN TRY AS HARD AS HELL TO ELIMINATE OUR RACE, WE'LL ALWAYS KEEP OUR HEAD'S HELD HIGH WITH PRIDE & HONOR. Please 🙏 please 🙏 please 🙏 Look at Us & Smile, We're Not Scary people that scalp people, Most of my Aunties & Uncle's are raising their grandchildren. Sad but True, My Princess Niece's & Rebel Nephews are Leading The Pack in A Talented & Semi-safe Direction. So, Go Fuk Yo' bug's, Whomever lit My Azz, smoke it!
      Tom Leis, they do videos all the time & Tytyty for your gracious comment, greatly Appreciated, May Peace Be With You. There's A different Race than Relay's, Suicide Races, yikes it's a nerve-wracking event, I wouldn't mind that fading away LMAO, shhh 🤫Relay Races is where it's at.

    • @luisgrauer1198
      @luisgrauer1198 6 років тому +3

      Lisa Plambeck If you spent a short time using what you consider a brain you would realize that a horse that didn't want to run these races would not be used by anyone that wanted to win. Of 6 horses I have 1 that might be good as she is very competitive, the others wouldn't. I watch heavy horse pulling competitions and those horses want to pull, so it isn't cruelty asking them to. Same here, these horses want to run. Use you head, instead of just spouting without thinking. To some horses, like 5 of mine, this would be cruelty, not to these.

    • @pageachatter229
      @pageachatter229 6 років тому +1

      luis grauer If you knew the slightest bit about horses, you would see that all the signs are there that these horses are not trained for this and this is not good for them.
      1: do you see the horses rearing and spinning when the guys try to get on them? That's the horse's way of saying "Get away from me! I do not want you on my back!"
      2: You see the horses jump when the gunshot goes off? That is clearly showing that they haven't been desensitized to it. They're not running because they're enjoying themselves. They're running because they're scared of the loud, unfamiliar sound!
      3: continuing to feed the fear factor, at the end of each lap, one guy jumps off and another guy jumps on and clings to the horse's neck. You know what else clings to a horse's neck like that? Wolves, cougars, PREDATORS!
      It's obvious right from the beginning that these horses are not trained for this, and it's obvious you don't know that much about how a horse's brain works. Go do your homework and try again.

    • @pageachatter229
      @pageachatter229 6 років тому

      luis grauer Oh, and here's another bad: if you look closely, you'll see several horses prancing and spinning about much faster than the others. Getting on a horse that's like that and trying to ride it in any sort of race is like pouring gasoline on a fire. It's just a bad idea. Those horses are not with their riders at all. The only reason that they don't go racing off to god-knows-where with those guys is they are inside a closed track.

      These horses are not abused nor is there ANY kind of animal cruelty going on. These horses are definitely bred for this type of racing. I see perhaps some Quarter horse and Thoroughbred crosses here? Definitely have the speed. I'd like to see their speeds clocked just to see how fast they really are flying. These young men are in tip top shape for this. They need to be to handle these horses, especially at the take-off when the g-force is highest as they build there speed.
      So quit trolling about abuse and cruelty and actually take the time to actually read up about the history of what and why these are done. You're not wanted here. I fully support what these teams are doing.
