Growing up, I was INCREDIBLY shy. It started to pick up in 2nd grade where I had to perform in a play at my school. It was a private school and every year, we had to participate and I hated it. I only ended up being able to go to one which was the 3rd grade one I believe. I don't remember but I had HUGE stage fright growing up and swore to myself that I would never become an actor. I wanted to be a game developer, then I found out how extremely complicated it actually was to write code. Middle school didn't help at all though, I only was in middle school for half a year before Mama Nyx pulled me out of school to home school me. I was bullied in Middle School relentlessly, I was constantly teased and beaten up and of course, the school did absolutely nothing. The only teachers I remember were my science and band teachers because they were the only ones I knew were super kind and caring to me. My confidence started to slowly grow as I grew older. I have Olivia to thank for helping me grow my confidence, because without her, I don't think this channel would even exist. So after I had all my confidence built up, it was time for me to go to High School. It was a tough start for me, I got bullied somewhat but not as much as I did in Middle School. Then it became even more difficult when the pandemic hit, but the pandemic was what TRULY made me realize that I needed to come out of my shell. So I made a promise to myself that I would go out with a strong finale. Junior and Senior year were my ultimate turning points in my life. Junior year, I allowed myself to slowly grow as a person and reach out to bigger and grander opportunities. I began pursuing my love for acting in Theatre, it was a fantastic experience! (Except for the teacher, she wasn't that great 🥲) Senior year rolls around and I've reached the point where I am NOT ashamed of myself. I am not afraid to be myself and show off. I found myself becoming popular on campus, people knew me as the one who would always break dance and it got the school hyped up. But pep rallies were the best parts for me, that was where I truly realized the impact I had on the school. I began to dance with everyone who was cheering in the bleachers, then I decided to go off and dance on the gym floor. The ENTIRE school was cheering me on as I danced and did anything my wacky and quirky brain could come up with. That moment was what solidified my spot in the yearbook. I won my own page in the school's yearbook and I hold that like a badge of honor. So yeah, I used to be extremely shy growing up, but as my school days came to an end, my shyness was gone and it allowed me to discover the amazing wonders of being yourself. ❤

My biggest regret was keeping the bullying to myself and not reaching out for help. I'm glad u found ur confidence. Keep up the great work Nyx!
@@NyxMoonReads I can relate Nyx. I was a very shy child and I'm still a little shy now as an adult. I was bullied in middle school and high school, nothing too bad. Also I felt i was behind everyone else. The other students were driving, dating etc. However my mom said "Delayed doesn't mean denied". She told me it was my life and I can live it the way I want to and do things at my own pace. Those words still hold true to me to this day. I'm glad things worked out for you and you have someone special to walk with you on your journey !!
