Wenger is so underrated imo, he outmuscled Zidane, humiliated so many attackers, masterminded the game and also showboated a little. If he was a few years younger, Pogba would've been working at McDonald's.
This man is a legend. Brilliant manager: won trophies, paid for the stadium, didn't spend much, and left arsenal with 200 million in cash........ oh and the club is debt free cos of him.
They are still paying the fucking stadium. But it's true, the guy in mcguiver tear conditions managed to get the sweet champions league money for more than a decade, he could have departed to a better club when he was seeing it coming, but he stayed and wasted his career in Arsenal, got mocked and at some point even the fans started to lose the faith on him. Without him, with the stadium debt and after selling their best players Arsenal would be another Everton or Man City before the money. It's good to have a financially healthy club, that's coming from a fan of a southamerican football club that was always near bankruptcy (and could be at some point again).
A person could play soccer well, without lots of 'skills'. Of course, some top players have excellent skills(such as taking a free-kick, penalty, etc). Skills needed include ball control, reading the game such as knowing where to pass depending on where the defense is, passing well. And there the defense players, they, of course, must know how to control the ball and pass well, and 'stop' the strikers from scoring or receiving the ball. Wenger has the skills (far more than the average players), but then stamina is needed to keep running around for 90 minutes (if not more during overtime). One minute you are running as fast as you can to get the ball, the next minutes as fast as you can to stop a player, and the next it might be running as fast with the ball to attempt to score a goal, so you need to be fit to play at a certain level. PS 'I have seen an individual who plays well, with a few 'skills' you want him on your team(when he is with the ball you know you are getting a great pass, and when someone has the ball, you know is going to run in the right spot to receive that past), while individuals with 'lots of skills' seen before a match, yet they are not on the team.
He's old now, but he used to be a pro player himself when he was younger. So unless you're a good level pro, then a young Wenger was probably better than you.

Arsenal's performances this season prove that Wenger was not the problem, after all. The club have been struggling ever since the deal was signed to build the new stadium. And this was all while they were winning FA cups. It was tough for them after the stadium move for a while I'll give them that was it 9 or 10 years without a trophy but even in that time he had them in the champions league every year. I'm pretty sure they made it past the group stages in all those years as well but correct me if I'm wrong.
