The censorship thing concerns me a bit, especially given Google Gemini's recent missteps.

Not that I know any inside information - but I think they're just way more concerned with like, people spoofing photos of politicians and spreading them online

They also clamp down on any sexy image.
I used to do play around with some old illustrator styles . In them days the women were depicted more curvy and wearing tighter suits. I've noticed from v4 to v6 these prompts have become obsolete due to new updated "banned" terminology.
I know it's a hot potato but it's another situation in MJ clamping down as well as politicians.
Horror, especially zombies. I have a prompt collection from v4 and they look way scarier than the current bunch.
@@armondtanz Yah you're probably right! I don't find myself bumping up against the filters very much, but I can imagine that becoming frustrating
@@armondtanz ive had the website flag some of my prompts, but then in discord, it has no problem with the same exact prompt, dunno whats up with that

There is still nothing about inserting product photos into midjourney and ensuring the product photos remain intact and the same. But as always, very informative video!

Midjourney needs to focus more on achieving consistent characters. I hope we’ll see fully consistent characters soon, including face, body, and clothes.

The censorship issue is truly frustrating....nipples!!!! OMG... However, another thought crossed my mind when I heard about partnerships with other AI labs. Like many companies before, I'm concerned that MJ might one day be up for sale. I just hope it's not too soon...
I highly highly highly doubt they will sell - mainly because he also went on a mini-rant about how he doesn't like companies who grow with the intention to sell 😂 - but I guess only time will tell!
MJ might get cold feet on the video generator after Sora

I cannot listen to the weekly office hours anymore, for several reasons.
The heavy handed moderation is concerning. I don't know if they are volunteer mods or paid staff, but it is causing users to leave when slapped down for trivial infractions when there is no list of rules for using the site. Also concerning is the censorship, as has been mentioned. I have downgraded my plan from the top to the $30 and now I'm at the $10 just to keep my options open.
Pissing off your paying users is a good way to head down the road to ruin. I have seen it happen before to online businesses.
I don't really know how the staffing works! Sounds like a nightmare to moderate such a unique piece of technology
They just fixed remix mode on the alpha site. Before it was losing photos included in the original prompt, which often made the remix way off.

I try not to put my personal opinions in these recaps - but I did think it was strange how he didn't have a strong reaction to Sora ... maybe the MJ model is more advanced than we're giving it credit for? Or maybe he knows Sora's success rate isn't close to commercial use at this point

Have the Midjourney developers said anything about making it possible to copy a pose from an image, and then putting our characters in that pose? I want to be able to put my characters in exact poses.
that's what he means by control-net ... and he said the results haven't been great. At least they're working on it!
The most important thing for me is for them to sort out sports images.
Just try creating a golfer. The results are hilarious. The positions they get into are truly mind boggling. 😂
That's why we need a controlnet type feature.
Sports! That's definitely a clear area the bot is lacking in. I'd love to make Baseball and Hockey pics but some of the results are so hilarious
Haven’t tried it lately, but months ago I had a similar problem depicting people diving into water.
if it doesn't understand sports, that may mean it doesn't really understand precise and purposive physical action.

The Remix on the Alpha site is confusing. When I used remix in discord, I turned it on in the settings so it was global. But on the alpha site Remix does not seem to be global but used individually. I asked this question several times and the usual answer I get is, you use it just like you do on discord. In my mind, that isn't the case. Can you give a better explanation on how it is used on the alpha site. I searched high and low for an answer but no luck. Thanks....p.s. I must not be the only one confused by the Alpha remix because in my search I got a good dozen of people saying they were just as confused as I am.
I may be a little confused on your question though. Because there are dedicated buttons on the Alpha Website for remix -> Remix Subtle & Strong are available under the Upscale options and above the Pan Arrows.
Where are you running into problems?
@@FutureTechPilot I don't know if you agree with me, but on Discord I would activate the Remix button in the settings. This way, for example, if I used to Vary the Region, I got a box that popped up for me to make changes. Remix was global and not dedicated with one prompt. On the alpha site, if I press remix, it seems to apply to the prompt it is on. It's not global.
Maybe if you explained how you use remix on the alpha site, I will be able to get rid of this mental block of using remix on the new alpha site. When and how do you use remix on the alpha site? For now I just ignore it since It doesn't make sense to me. But if you explain how you use, it may make sense.
@@lyricvideos-musicwithlyric4015 haha to be honest, I don't use it! Just take some deep breathes and maybe it will click. Just remember that you can do regular variations, or you can do a remix - and they're all triggered with separate buttons now

just a thing from style tuning in v 5.2 - you could click 'sticky style' so you didn't have to write the same style code over and over
The fact that he's on the fence about my second favorite feature is sad.
But it also sounds like he has a personal vision for how it should work, so I think that means they are more likely to work on it in the future rather than ignore it forever
