People always say we have the best job in the world...but those beautiful days on the water are what make up for us having to go out on days like this! Great job capt!
Does 911 connect you to the USCG? I always carry an extra hand held VHF with GPS just in case... Been a member of TowBoatUS for the past >30 years...only had to call em once for a tow. That one tow made up for all the years I was a member. 👍👍👍
I’m sure they do, the dispatcher probably gets a few quick questions in too. Those 911 calls from condo tenants & missing person reports etc get relayed on the VHF by coast guard.
Memberships won’t cover sunk boats. Salvages can be anywhere from $100-300 a foot depending on difficulty.. Insurance will cover the recovery, and with full coverage the damages/replacement.
Huh and nobody questioned why they were out there when there were small craft advisories and high winds for days look at the video there is not one other boat anywhere out there!!

Capt Ken , I miss your videos, hope to see some new footage
Excellent music and video footage well done Capt
Footage was good, but the narration was hard to do in the wind. Newer videos I'll use an external mic to help with the audio!
Beautiful save and really great video capture of what you had to do to make it happen. Thanks!
Hey thanks for saving the bimini. Lol
You guys always do great work. Keep it up and stay safe
Great work as always.
Awesome job Captains.
Yes!!!!!! Love your videos!
This is why I own a Boston Whaler.
Nicely done! What's the boat brand?
The sunk boat is a Rogue according to the captain, and our boat is a Silvership out of Mobile Alabama.
That RIB is great to step on and off from the side using the pontoons(?) . I had never seen that .
yes, super low sides, great for water rescues
It’s not an RIB because the pontoons are not inflatable but are solid foam.
@@kenwphoto there is an inflatable inner air bladder in these. ua-cam.com/video/kUvNCiDSUUc/v-deo.htmlsi=nrnXpVxx_BqzTBjg
Damn, that boat just does not want to stay afloat.
That water kept pouring over the back with almost none on the deck, I had to keep it moving & use my electric pump.
Heard about that one on TV.

@@CaptainRetriever aye aye Captain 👍👍👍
That would have been one expensive tow without the membership

Heck yeah another video from one of my favorite accounts!!
Were there any crabs in the trap?

Outstanding salvage work, but.... just not a smart decision by the boatowner to be out in choppy water in a 15ft boat.
how much does corporate pay you if the client has a membership?
This job a membership wont cover, it falls under your hull insurance, or you'll have to self pay.
Rough water?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Almost calm is not ruff weather
Your a bad ass
Kind of looks like a Boston whaler But it's sunk, so it's not. 😮
yeah, whalers dont sink like that...
Isn’t that one of those unsinkable Boston whalers?
Well it did not sink...
They said unsinkable, not un swampable
It's not a Boston Whaler, make is apparently "Rouge." Whalers are full of foam, so they genuinely can't sink. That thing sunk like a stone.
