Hi guys! Great reaction, as always! 💖 The song is written by Nanowar of Steel, and they of course asked Michael Starr to join in because of it's right up his alley. The bass player and manager (stage name: Gatto Pancieri 666) has an astrophysics Ph.D., works as an astronomer, and speaks 11 languages. In second part the dancers wear a Sailor Uranus costume (she has a yellow and dark-blue color scheme). Besides Staying Alive there is also a reference to Age of Aquarius.
And in the musical references department, you got the Staying Alive bit, but you missed Highway to Hell as well as Age of Aquarius. ("And I'm coming down," that line there - change "coming" to "going" and you've got the last line of Highway to Hell.)
Uhh...as someone who went through high-school at the beginning of the disco era .... I can say 100% that yes people danced like that. And after the movie it became a bit of a cliche ..... move

The girls were, unsurprisingly, dressed as Sailor Uranus.

The craziest italian metal band!
Steel Panther is not parody, it's satire on 80s rock music. "Weird Al" Yankovic does parodies.
