Hi again TECH DR Well as I went to try this the IP Address doesn't work so I tried to enter my IP from under the Network sect. Anyway as I started to enter my IP I had to stop because the keyboard the appears is Numerical and doesn't allow me to enter symbols or characters. Do you have any suggestions regarding this issue?? Has anyone been able to get Permission Manager X to work? I keep getting the can't connect error when I try to give ADB access. When I see the allow usb debugging, I checked box to always allow. The ADB windows then states: -"Enable ADB Over Network". I have no idea what that means. I have even assigned a fixed IP to the firestick but nothing seems to work for me.
@@TechDoctorUK Yes I always keep it on. When permission manager x installed it is on the USB drive or does it need to be on the main FS space? Entering the FS IP address on permission manager x does not make a difference either still will not connect. As a test I can connect from the PC to the FS4K via adb without any issues. Your other permission app works fine just not as elaborate as PMx
@@TechDoctorUK I uninstalled PMx, removed the external storage, turned off ADB, and unknown sources, rebooted FS, enabled ADB & unknown sources, installed PMx, and it makes no difference. It still gives the "Enable ADB Over Network error". Reading the comments it appears that those who actually tried using PMx did not get it to work either. PMx is extremely buggy, it also lacks a way of changing the IP address as the soft number keypad that pops up lacks the decimal point to enter the correct IP address.
Hello TDUK, Another great video and really love the tools you find. I think having the VPN status indicator separate from the VPN is best. If IP Vanish app dies there would be no status from IP Vanish to show it down. Also, having the indicator on all the time may work once the color is fixed, but I would worry the indicator could burn into my screen since it stays solid.... thanks, keep up the good work.

You do realise that this ONLY works after the VPN has been connected, it won't show you that it is disconnected when you first boot the stick, it's pretty useless.
I specifically showed how you can set the options so you ONLY see the dot once your VPN has disconnected. So if you see the dot, it means your VPN has dropped.

Did you turn on adb debugging? You need to do that first before you use permission manager

Great video I get a bad rom error on mine so I cannot use this on my 4K Max
