Ignore my handle and the fact that I'm a furniture painter by trade for a moment while I go off script! 😆 Leaving some pieces natural wood will bring a warmth to the room and offset the painted pieces. Each piece will have pride of place and not look as "matchy matchy". If you want the dresser to be lighter you could bleach the wood. Just brush on regular bleach and let it soak into the wood, let it sit until dry and repeat if necessary. The bleach will absorb and raise the wood grain a bit, so you may need to give it a light sand. Then you can seal it to protect it and make it easy to clean. The wood then stays the natural lighter shade. Then you have the dresser and mirror in natural wood, and the closet and small dresser painted - which will bring your eye around the room for more visual interest. As an alternative you can do a wash over the natural wood. Mix some of the beige paint with water - start with 50/50 and test a small area then add more water or paint if needed. Brush on in small sections (like one drawer front) and wipe back as you go. Wipe immediately for lighter coverage, or let sit longer for more opaque color. Just some ideas you may not have considered... I'm sure it'll look good no matter what you decide, just like everything else you do! 🧡

Great advice. Echoes to balance with the aged/faded effect used on the rug. The regular painted pieces will make everything else sing with the calm beige walls.
So.
Paint ceiling.
Paint walls.
Paper wall(s).
Repaint cupboard and drawers when waiting for walls to dry.
Put everything back in place and decide on final finish for new dresser.
I love the curtains as they are, that half meter pooling on the floor gives an air of luxurious indulgence in a pretty but practical storage room.
Yes ! When i saw the top of dresser i thought that was the prettiest tone of wood ! So lightening the wood is an excellent idea

I have some wallpaper advice and a secret for you. Buy paste to wall wallpaper. You measure the width of the paper and put the paste straight on to the wall, then apply the paper. It's so much easier than gluing the paper and struggling to get the wet, gluey paper on the wall. The secret is it works on any wallpaper, even paste to paper wallpaper! Good luck ❤

I personally wouldn't paint the new set of drawers, maybe just stain it to make the wood tones blend better, or at least wait until the rest of the room is more set up, to see how it looks, but that's just me ! Looks beautiful anyways ✨✨

I think the blue would be beautiful for the ceiling. Looks like a clear sky on a summer day. The brown for walls and reddish one for furniture are also on point. Love your beautiful checked dress. Curtain with the boo-boo change sides. Will not notice up against the solid wall. If the curtain is not to long you could make soft swags at the bottom or just above or below the window sill. Closet will be so beautiful. Wall paper and paint colors are amazing can't wait. Modern wallpaper is so easy. My parents did all their wallpapering themselves back in the 80s and 90s before they went out of style and I recently did one wall and the paper quality improved a lot compared to back then. Most of the time you can just paste the wall and stick the dry wallpaper on it. Totally easy. I did the three rows on my own in a few minutes. Most of the work was preparing as while I tore the old strips down, the plaster came down also... This took me some days to repair but the wallpaper work was easy peasy.
I enjoy your videos, they are heart warming and they just make me feel so relaxed and happy. The closest is going to be beautiful.
Looks good but maybe add a small island on top of the rug and a fancy chandelier for lighting. Maybe get rid of that big pink and white thing.

If it was me, I wouldn’t paint the top. Since your going to be painting the walls and ceiling with 3 beautiful colors and wall paper. Painting the dresser top will take away from its natural beauty. But, we all see things differently, and whatever you do, it’s going to be beautiful Elise. Your so blessed to be so young, owning your 1st home and having so much fun decorating. And your garden of flowers is stunning.

The closet looks great! The trick to wallpapering is make sure to you plenty of paste so that you can move the wallpaper into the correct position.
I like to have hanging space all the way to the ceiling. Also cubies for accessories to the ceiling too. A step stool to help. Use your vertical space.

Your closet looks lovely! I like the dresser and mirror just as they are. A little bench in the center of the room might be nice to sit on while you dress or put on your shoes. Looking forward to seeing how it all comes together.
Chest of drawers looks lovely there and love the pink dress on you and linen better than polyester with hot weather. You so remind me of me and yet I have never used a drill of that calibre and wish I had more skills with drills but i do everything else that I can ie painting but what you have done with the kitchen is inspirational. You are very skilled. I would leave the chest of drawers for now as it makes a lovely contrast and lovely wood and once painted hard to get off. Up to you of course :-) You are so lucky with your inherited roses they are gorgeous.

I’ve been watching you for a while now and I love your artistry your dreamy concept in decorating, the closet is turning out to be beautiful. One thing I didn’t notice I would personally center the rug on the dresser, but that’s just me just a thought of mine, but once again, love, love, love the way you decorate a lot of whimsy and artistry❤❤❤
It’s really coming along🥰. Getting art on the wall will help it become more of a room, but I can see that needs to wait until after wallpaper. My husband and I have separate closets and mine is the size of a child’s bedroom. I’m really blessed, and I opted for one high hanging bar all the way around because I wear so many dresses. But some framed art above the shelf is good, also a soft stool or small chair for putting on tights or zipping boots.
I really like the checked dress. It’s very pretty, very 1950s. I speak as an expert on that era!

I agree with you on the grey, it's too cool for you. I'd say you have a warm undertone, more peaches and cream skin with the red hair. If I had to guess I'd say you colour season is warm spring. Fresh and warm colours always look beautiful on you.

I love the rug. As for the Curtain Panel with the inperrection you can Switch them that way the inperfection is now closest to your wall and Less noticeable like the colors

Omg the white dress is gorgeous!! I'd never be able to get rid of it. You could wear a corset with it,a sweater over it,a vest with it,a tailored blazer, a kimono. Ahh I wish i was that small. The red could be taken in easily. I'd get rid of the blue flowers and keep the red and the white dresses.
Cut piece from The bottom of sleeveless dresses and make sleeves out of that to dresses. I just started to do that. 😁 I always add pockets too. 😂

Have you thought about getting some totes and putting all of your winter clothes in the totes and then put them in your garage. So you have them ready for fall and winter next year and it gives you plenty of room. Then you just do the same thing with the spring-summer. You just switch them out
