Keep up the awsome work! Glad to help :) I now use this lockscreen invisible as a "security" one when im at the gym, i made it like a fingerprint scanner, and made it take a photo eith front camera while it fake scans the fingerprint xD Thx for all ur effort on this videos!
Yep - a perfect, simple solution! Thanks for thinking of this and adding the info. I'll probably do a "multiple contexts" video very soon and add this info to it.
hollywoodfrodo, I came up with an idea to imitate LG's knock code using tasker! Just use multiple scenes, and rectangles that when tapped, destroys the current scene, then opens up a new one. The rectangles just have be placed differently like a quadrant! I am working on it now and is halfway there. Would love to see you create your own :) Thumbs up for your tasker tutorials!
Which you can solve just clicking on the profile created, select to add another condition, now you choose State, choose Call, and click on Invert :) So it only triggers when the display is Off and NOT on a call :D
You gave me an idea I may try to do next. Have the lock scren as you made it.. but if somebody repeatedly trys to "get in" and fails the phone would take a picture of the "burglar" and say "Gotcha" :)
This is great, Thank you. Is it possible to make it disable the lock screen on an incoming Internet call as I receive calls through the Facebook messenger app? Thanks.
Englandz Englandz Add additional trigger to your lock screen profile (long press current profile, choose add). Choose application - choose Facebook Messenger and click on "Invert" on the bottom of the screen. This means the lock will "engage" when your screen turns on AND Facebook Messenger is NOT open.
It took some tinkering to figure out, but I made a multi gesture lock where once you swipe away one lock more screens appear underneath creating a more secure lock screen
I guess that could be a problem if swiping up to quickly disable it seems like too much. :-) But if you had a gesture that was difficult to make with your thumb, then yeah, might not want that happening...
this is where things get screwed up. i put the wait command on the top and added the 20 second marker and then went to the show screen where i put %SCREEN ~ off like in the video yet the lock still come up immediately. did i miss something?
i take that back it does work but the timing is out of whack where setting it to 20 seconds is more like 7 seconds if that. I've noticed that even when i set an alarm event at a specific time it doesn't activate until like 5 minutes after the fact. its a tasker bug I'm guessing.
Interesting - it could be a bug in Tasker or possibly in the specific device/model you're using and how it communicates with Tasker. Oh the joy of fragmentation in the Android world...
it initially takes a bit for tasker and my tablet to get on the same page it gets annoying especially when I'm trying to follow along and it doesn't seem to wanna work. I'm on a Toshiba AT300 16 GB running Android 4.1.1 there's a few things i can't do to save my (insert better term here) like for instance i use power toggles, tasker, and pushbullet. pushbullet requires accessibility settings turned on to push notifications to the laptop but because of this my text to speech engine literally talks for no reason. i had to disable that to shut it the hell up. so now i can't follow half the tutorials
she sounds ok and very usefully but when she starts talking even with talkback service turned off that's when there's a problem. its a bug in the system itself they screwed up with 4.1 and I'm stuck with it. like i said i had to disable the engine just so i can set my accessibility settings to allow pushbullet. i kid you not i would open my browser and for no reason she would start reading what i clicked on a page. I'm not blind lady shut up lol
hollywoodfrodo the latest update to my problem : turns out there was no glitch and the issue was easily solved. In my accessibility settings if I scroll down it has an option to allow enhanced browsing. All i had to do was turn it off and she shut up
I had this working great then all of a sudden it's not working. The Secret Lock doesn't come on. I've gone through the directions again and I can't get it to work again. Any idea?
Hmmm... That's really difficult. It's hard to troubleshoot without having the phone in hand and being able to see the set up. You can try switching it back to engage when the screen comes on rather than when it turns off and with a delay and see if that works to start.
hollywoodfrodo It does work now with the screen set to come on as opposed to off. I have the profile set to display Unlocked as I have it password protected but does this mean that I can't set up a wait so I don't have to unlock every time? Not too much of a problem as long as I remember!! I also set it up to destroy scene when I get an incoming call.
Marcia Kalisch You could still do it - it just would be a little more complicated. You can create a new profile that turns your lock profile ON after a delay when you turn your screen off IF the screen is still off once the delay time has passed. Then add an activity to your unlock swipe gesture that turns the lock profile OFF when you unlock it. That should do it...
Marcia Kalisch I do cover the basic principles you'd need through various tutorials so you should be able to make it happen once you've gone through them. And if you need help, don't forget the Google Groups Tasker forum is a great place to get help!
It took some tinkering to figure out, but I made a multi gesture lock where once you swipe away one lock more screens appear underneath creating a more secure lock screen
me too i've made it to associate with secure settings that if you do make that gesture it brings you the original phone lock.lol...you can not pass if you will do that repeatedly...

Great idea! You can do just about anything with Tasker if you get creative enough.

+Tekumze Wolf Good idea - and one of those things you create then pray to God you never actually need! :-)

Cool idea - yeah, you could get really complex with the lock using Tasker if you want.

that's a cool idea!
Just a little problem, if your in a call, the invisible lockscreen will trigger aswell, since the screen went off :p

you forgot to select the done "tasker logo" in the top left corner after you put the new command in
nope my device is just evil.....
Lol.....I had the same problem and that's what was wrong with me.
my problem is i own a shitty ass toshiba

I use Push Bullet. Love it. Could be your voice engine. Ivona sounds great but I've heard on some devices it causes lag.

Sounds a little too complicated for me at this time...maybe after I get through your tuts!!
