The argument on economics is misplaced. Although the bible says the man is the provider but again Proverbs 31 gives us an example of a good wife. She does not fold her arms and expect everything from a man. She even works so hard that she becomes a millionaire in her own right. Prophet Keith Lawrence what is the church? Isn't Christ being married to the church the essence of polygyny? The bible say the church is made of many members. Not only that, Christ was married to the church in Rome, Galatia, Ephesus and so on all at the same time. The bible also speaks as God as having to wives also of divorces one of them. Everything written in the bible isnt a commandment or can even be considered a plan unless it is said so. There are plenty of things in the bible that are just part of conversation. God never condemns polygyny yet he makes laws for his chosen people to govern such a marriage. Sin is transgression of the law so why would God make laws forcing men to marry his brothers wife?
