I am glad you found the video helpful. Inkscape is a great program to learn for sublimation projects. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment!
Hello Marilyn this is Mary from Kansas City I love your inscape tutorial I really love inkscape so I will be watching more because I am still learning thank you so much I know who to come to and ask questions LOL thank you have a wonderful day
I have been wanting a free art design program that I could use and understand. This looks like the program to me, and I appreciate your tutorial very much. I have already subscribed and will be watching more in the future.
@@MakingwithMarilyn My pleasure. I have a lot of health issues and am often not able to craft, but I have learned that I can often watch UA-cam videos to learn about my crafting then.
is there a way to chance the patterns within an image from CFabrica in Inkscape? Like the wedges of a pumpkin make the wedges different patterns?? thanks
@@MakingwithMarilyn Awesome. I am wanting to do that to other images like making rose petals different fill patterns and like a truck the door being a pattern. I have looked and looked on how and what program yo do it. I do have cricut design space too. thank You
Hi Marilyn, I am copying images from Cricut after I design and taking them to another program for printing sublimation. The issue I am having is losing pixels; the printed copy is not printing as sharply as it could. Do you have any suggestions on how to keep the image nice and sharp?
Are you taking a screenshot of your design? I have seen people who want to print larger than Cricut allows to do that. If this is what you are doing, you lose a lot of computer data this way and are printing a "picture" of the actual design file. I typically design in either Inkscape (it's free) or Silhouette (but to save images as SVG cut files, you have to buy the Business Edition). I do have some videos on Inkscape if you want to give it a try.
Also I wanted to ask what version of inkscape do you have because yours looks different than the one I have maybe I have it old version let me know so I can get the version you have thanks
I believe mine is 1.0.2. I did update it recently. I first started on an old version and found it extremely difficult. I am out of town but will check the version and let you know.
Hi prshus2000! I am out of town but can do a video on that. It is easy and really very good at doing that. There are a few more steps to it than in design space but it's not difficult. Thanks for watching!!!
Just wanted to thank you for your video. You made it so much easier for me!
Thank you so much Hazel!!!! I really appreciate your comment.
Never used Inkscape and just starting the Sublimation Train. Your explanation on everything is great. I learned a lot. Thank you.

If the pumpkin is an svg, then yes you can do that. I can do a short video on it if you would like.

Mary, I checked and the version I use is 1.0.1. It might be the newest version or there may be another update since then. What version do you have?
