Rhonda's version of this Newton John classic has been getting a lot of airplay on Sirius XM's Blurgrass Connection lately. Love it! What a great platform for modern Bluegrass. Rhonda knocked this one out of the park!!!🥰❤❤❤
Olivia Newton John sung this song in the late 70's. You did a good job Rhonda like your version too. I been a fan of Olivia since she started singing in 70's. I was age 10
Rhonda Vincent. God blessed her with amazing musical talents. She’s worked diligently to perfect them and has so graciously shared them with the world. Thank you Rhonda. May God continue to bless and keep you and your family.
Every Rhonda & Rage performance feels like a perfect glass of unsweetened Ice tea, Dive into perfect cool pool and a Beautiful soak clean Spring shower! Refreshing just doesn't cover the whole experience! I know feel a whole lot better... Hey Rhonda cover that one too!
Yes mam... indeed it made me smile! I graduated from HS in 1975. ONJ was the heart-throb of every high school boy back then. I only came to bluegrass in the 80s... and very gradually. It wasn't until I saw a full video of AKUS in KY in 2011 that I became a total 'convert'. Then came many many greats including you. I love this vid and the arrangement.
I love this version of this song and the video is so heart warming to see all the young people playing bluegrass there again any song in bluegrass sounds amazing. Love it love it love it. Olivia Newton John is smiling.
Crazy connections here! I grew up in New Delhi, India, and heard this c. late 1970s on the radio. Australia's ONJ was one of my favorite singers. This was her "most country" song, but it was written by two members of Cliff Richard's band, the Shadows, from England. Now Cliff was the most popular singer in India (even born there). I didn't discover bluegrass until the late 1980s, and eventually quit medicine to land at ETSU's bluegrass program in 1999. I wrote about the musical culture on prominent display in this great aural and visual rendition. Bluegrass perfection!
Great song, written by Bruce Welch and John Rostill from the UK band The Shadows. John Rostill also wrote "if you love me let me know" and "let me be there" that was both recorded by Olivia Newton John and later also Elvis Presley.
Absolutely beautiful Heather love your singing and especially love it when you a n d. Your feller blend your talents together. They are GOD given. I'm going to play the banjo like him one day. Even if it's on my way to heaven. LOL. Blessings to you all.
Love the song! I actually remember Olivia's version. (Yours is better). 😉 Now, "PLEASE RHONDA PLEASE", record one of my original songs, that I've sent to ya!!!! 😁 Have a blessed day & good luck, with this one.
I have a new lyric for Please MR Please. In the corner of the bar 🍸 🥤 there stands a JUICE BOX 🧃. Don't you and Dolly Parton think it is time to sing her song Nickles and Dimes before it is Bit Coins and retirement funds?
Thank you Rhonda for your version of this classic!
