What you did that day was called a "Coddiwomple". This is when you travel with purpose to an as-of-yet unknown destination. It's one of the most quaint and English words I know, but it's also something UA-camrs do a lot :-)
5:47 I used to love riding on these sorts of roads when I was a kid. Now, as an adult, I'm constantly thinking "what if there's mud all across a tight bend, what if a van doing 60 comes around the corner RIGHT NOW and there's only enough for him!"
U still got the yzf? in 1 year ima get one. i will be 18 and the insurance is 2 grand after riding a ped for 2 years without no claims. idk why its so much. i could have started on a yzf for 2 grand insurance.
This may be a dumb question - You mention youre going for your A license - From my knowledge a2 allows up to 500cc, if im not wrong the mt 07 is above 600 ? correct me where im wrong
Hello :) A2 allows for any bike upto 94hp but it has to be restricted to 47hp. So bikes like the MT-07 or CBR650R need to be restricted but bikes like the R3 don't :)
Honestly even with 6 years no claims, R1. Your insurance will be more than the bike is worth. I’d go for a 600. Wouldn’t jump on a litre bike from a 700 twin.
Nath, my discord got hacked and the dude sent some dodgy link to all contacts and servers, and I got banned from the discord. Was trying to sus out for so long why I couldn't join back. Can you help?
I sold my 2015 MT-07 with 21,000 miles on it last year and the only things it had ever had done was fork seals, chain and sprockets and a new battery. I wish I'd never sold it but needless to say I bought another Yamaha 🥲 Anyway as someone who had a 1290, stick to the MT-07, it's more fun on UK roads. Or better yet get a supermoto which is even more fun. ua-cam.com/video/yv-cTJzbrBk/v-deo.html

That's so cool to know. I'll remember that! A coddiwomple haha

I love riding on roads like these. They're perfect to just relax on... as long as you can see round the corner
Do some greenlaning, you'll soon learn to love mud and water.
Definitely get a pre cross plane R1 if you consider it theyre awesome
I’d keep that bike for a while, if it’s running well and you enjoy it then save some £££ for a while. It sounds fantastic
Hey mate, haven't seen your name come up for a while. How are you? I do love my MT!
I bet you'd be happy on an MT-09 :)
I've heard they're rather heavy

I've ridden an R1 before and it was so nice and smooth. Miss it haha. Although that was on the track, my R1 quotes are about £900 at the moment
I'd love an R6 but if it's torque you want, I don't think R6
Exactly, that's why R1 is on my mind!
