I think they make business connections, and support one another's businesses; same as other cults: it's about money. Christians don't need that kind of "help", but there are many who are weak in the faith. For the weak Christian, it would do them good to read and truly believe God's word:

What do they get out of freemasonry? They get job advancement, promotions to positions of power, favors, and lighter court sentences from fellow masons in high positions. I was in the masonic cult for 9 years. I went through all 3 degrees and sat in every chair within the lodge, including master. Thankfully, I learned what it was and GOT OUT in 2008. I never saw a Torah, a Koran or any other religious book in my lodge and I doubt seriously that a Muslim lodge would have a Bible in their lodge.Also, this is almost 40 years old. Prince Hall masons F& AM (Black members) are now recognized by white lodges (AF&AM).

My dad was a Mason and Shriner. He said they have secret meetings. That's all he said. I don't like secrecy. I don't like symbols.
The most obvious thing that I got out of this is that bill is a lot more interested in protecting his Masons than standing up for his savior. If he truly wanted to make a case that all of this was symbolic and didn't actually mean anything that bore upon his salvation, he would reveal what he has sworn and how it is not incompatible.

I'm not sure if Bill Mankin was saved before or after he joined the Free Masons, but in either case it seems that he enjoys the lifestyle and fellowship of his 'Masonic Brothers' more than he did Christ. He also seemed uninformed on Masonic doctrine and should also have had a greater knowledge and understanding of scripture. If he was truly saved I believe he would have left the Masons relatively quickly after this program.

So to answer "Can a Christian be a Mason?" I would say, "Yes, a Christian CAN be a Mason. Will a Christian REMAIN a Mason once he learns what Masonry is about? I don't see how a Christian could stay comfortable remaining a Mason and seeking sanctification in Christ.
As a Master Mason myself, the brother in the video makes me cringe. Today, all discrimination is not tolerated.

Seems to me the whole thing could be solved by having a MASON UNION that affirms honor, patriotism, fidelity, loyalty etc without ANY religious content. Something like standards of behavior in a business. Nonsectarian and nondiscriminatory. In the first translation of the holy bible, from Hebrew/Aramaic to Greek, he is described as a "tekton". That word means "artisan" or "craftsman". The region where Jesus was born and grew up was relatively sparse when it comes to trees...so why would a carpenter set up business in an area where there are no resources to allow him to work? The most likely thing, is that he was a STONEMASON, as there was certainly plenty of stone about!
