Yes, but it came out of nowhere. Haddie had a loving relationship with Alex, and it was physical. She wasn't conflicted about being with him at all. We never saw Haddie wrestle with any thoughts or emotions of coming to terms with her homosexuality. And the character of Haddie wasn't even on the main canvas anymore so I think the whole thing was a forced sellout. Suddenly, she had a girlfriend. Where the hell did that come from??? Nothing!

@@Dan5819 I think Haddie was always the good girl so she never had any complications but once her perfect relationship relationship with alex didn't work out, the foundation of her beliefs of an ideal relationship would shake and she would explore other things.... That was how I always perceived it!

@@priyaarora8018 indeed. She was the one who kicked butt at school and everything and only rebelled (and understandably so) because she felt neglected by her parents and her family. She was the only one in her household (and I saw this as a person diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome) who was willing and able to call Max out when he behaved inappropriately.

I'm glad they did find a way to incorporate this, although I don't think they are going to have time to really explore it with only 11 episodes left. But I think Sarah Ramos is coming back in season 6 for some more episodes so hopefully they will pick that thread up for a bit.

It kinda bums me out that the actors made such a joke out of this when the person was really asking an earnest question and clearly has so much love for the show. I’m glad Jason took the question seriously.

But I wonder if this question along with other thoughts about such a storyline influenced him. I’m really happy he was able to fulfill this.

it was made a joke because the characters are already in established relationships and marriages, like jason said. there wasnt room for it at that time. but jason made it happen w/ haddie

Amber and a woman musician recording at the Luncheonette (in a relationship) would've been very believable, but then she probably would've been too happy.

I think that would have been a better idea instead of using Haddie.
