Honestly I like the balance of both. Sure I love her seductive nature but I also love her connection to the green. Her desire to protect nature and extreme views on humanity is what makes her unique. Sure I agree the SJWs have rid her of her sex appeal and power to reduce her to some sidekick when she is a literal plant goddess. But at the same time, her just being the fem fatal has been done way too many times. She used her sex appeal to seduce her enemies making them vulnerable for the kill. She knows men's weakness and uses that to her advantage. She has the ability to restore forests with a wave of her hands. Yet she knows man will always destroy them for their greed which is why she wants to kill them all. This could be done if poison ivy got her own solo film, like Joker. I don't know. What do you think?
It's actually not fanservice, it's a whole plot point from the comics that this movie completely glosses over. A Batman story about mobsters - the one that the most popular Batman films find their roots in - without the mobsters maintaining any plot relevance. The Falcone plotline is supposed to include the Roman breaking his moral code and stooping to work with Arkham "freaks," something the Falcone family NEVER does. He hires her to keep Bruce busy, something that is kept in this movie but largely overlooked, and this sends the rest of the family into a frenzy, furious that he changed the rules to get what he wanted. This is a recurring theme with all the "freaks" he hires and it's the reason the whole rogues gallery even appears at the end, to emphasize the line between "normal" and "abnormal." They just utterly botched this story even though it was delivered to them on a platter, packaged and ready for animation. Batman isn't even supposed to be in half the scenes he's in in these movies.
