Thanks Marty! That day 2 spot was pretty nice. We had planned on camping above Carnarvon as you suggest but thought it may be pretty busy with people so opted for that spot. Turned out to be the right call, and while it cut our day shorter than planned, it worked out just fine.
We were here for three days. Planning for the full Elk Range Traverse at some point. Unfortunately I have no GPS track to share. Did it old school. Map, compass (didn’t use it), and terrain management.
Very beautiful scenery. I think the weather is fresh..
Captured perfectly, thank you for sharing this amazing hike! There was lots of grinding but the rewards were even better!
Indeed, the rewards are always welcome after you’ve put in the effort. Glad you were there!
I like where you camped on day 2. I walked there last time, but didn't stay. I often camp just above Carnarvon, where there's firewood. Nice video.

Nice scree captures! It’s always great to hear that sometimes deafening clinking, clunking, scraping, and rolling.
Thanks Jackie. It was a fun trip! Have to plan the full Elk Range Traverse now.
@@masonlindquist819 Well, don't go without us, because 'solo' is all work and no play!
@@unightie you bet!
I want to go back!!
Time to escape the madness!
I just got back. I had a few days to kill so I took my buddy geoff with me this time. Not a soul for 3 days
@@Martyupnorth kinda sounds about perfect! My kinda trip.
I love it ❤ How many days did you stay on this area? Would you mind sharing your GPS track ? Thank you 😊
