      Hi chris and steph hoe your doing great. I ran iuts video to watch i just binged everything youv done. And then i gotta download the recipes of corse and learn them. Bhunna chickens my favorite. It basicly chicken tika menthod then add the chicken to the sauce. Then i put in iven fir two hrs on 90dec C. Below boiling point; but above cooking point. So youl never burn it. Can leave a roast in all night if you like.
      Tios courtesy of heston blumenthall. Also means no indian smell in the house cos if you can smell it; your losing flavor

    Thanks for a must try merienda (snack) episode! ✨️😊
    I'd like to add that most of the food in this video are favorite breakfast and merienda items by a lot of locals - like the arroz caldo (rice porridge / rice soup), puto (this word of Malay Origin, not Spanish 😂 meaning rice cake), siopao, batchoy, and coffee with something sweet like suman or barquillos. Arroz caldo and batchoy are also recovery food for me when I am under the weather.
    Steph had suman with her coffee. Other good pairings with suman would be latik (reduced coconut crème sauce), chocolate sauce, or ripe manggo.
    Chris had such a big bowl of batchoy! Looks like it can feed two or three less hungry people. Hahaha!
    It is common for locals to pair noodles and siopao, but with the size of those servings, I'd need some people to share it with!
    Barquillos is a childhood treat for me and I am really happy to finally have seen how they are made. I appreciate it so much guys. 😊🧡
    Kudos to another happy belly episode! 🧡🫰🏻🫶🏻

      @HungryTwoTravel Рік тому +1

      Hey Cris! Oh my gosh that bowl of batchoy was massive, definitely for more than one person. We needed you there to help😉
      We love latik, that would definitely go perfect with the suman🤤
      So glad you could see how the barquillos were made, we thought it was a very cool process as well.
      Thanks so much again for watching and commenting 😊 we always look forward to your comments😍

    Iloilo is the best place to live, eat , cos it’s very clean, peaceful city and the best food you can eat at very cheap prices , compared to other cities. Seafoods are sooo fresh and tasty. Not so fast paced and Ilonggos are very friend,y , warm and hospitable people in the world.

    What? The Siopao has Chinese sausage, Bacon, and plum sauce. Now that sounds ridiculous. First no such thing as plum sauce in the Philippines. Its a Siopao, nobody calls it a bao in the Philippines. So obviously that is not exotic, because apparently its called a Bao. In places where that is common as bagel. (one Iconic Food from ilo ilo is that pork with black beans and a variety of Jackfruit. That is something more interesting the arroz caldo which mundane as boiled eggs.

      The pork with black beans and jackfruit is KBL, we had that while in Bacolod, so in this video are featuring some different foods.
