Cyber Valley is such a funny name. It's supposed to be Cyber Vary, as in it has three different effects so what it does varies depending on the situation. But translation errors turned it into valley.
The anime did make me confused when finally I actually played the game way back when. I read Castle of Dark Illusions, Gaia the Dragon Champion and Catapult Turtle over and over to figure out how Yugi did what he did in the show. No mention of flotation rings on any of those!
22:00 8 monsters is pretty slim, but tbf, that's not far off of what CB decks run even nowadays. The spells/traps are just so strong that they end up taking most of the deck slots
Yeah, but 3 Pegasus and 3 of the crystal beast version of Rainbow Dragon make a hell of a difference. 3 more playable monsters plus finally getting a crystal beast with some attack value is good. Also, the anime wouldn't have any of the spell searchers that CB players use, so without Advanced Dark's effect Yubel would have had to hard draw Pegasus to begin getting anywhere.
If you read the original manga, Yugi and the Pharaoh would play many different games, Duel Monsters being one of them. Duel Monsters was so interesting that people wanted to learn more, so Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters the manga was born. However, the last game of the original was a tabletop RPG game, and so Duel Monsters would also start off as a tabletop RPG game. Only afterwards would the card game become so popular that it was finally decided that it would become a real card game. This is what then lead to the Battle City Tournament, as the card game would obviously need actual rules if it was being brought to reality.
Hey kip there is a new duel analyzed video of clear world vs red eyes, just wondering if you planned on checking that out I'd enjoying your insight on that duel
look i love jessie but the best part of his char in yugioh GX dub was amazing voice work for his famliy the CB's amber mammoth voice work in the dub is top teir
I still remember a time when I brought cyber dragons to locals and first duel I kid you not I opened with 3 overload fusions a cyber dragon and I think a trap or something and I just laughed and my opponent and I just had a good time because he drew 3 copies of I think inperm and we couldn’t do anything
Ironically, if Zane had played more cautiously he might have won. What do I mean? Well, during the turn he summons Cyber Twin, if he had just stopped attacking once he realised Jessie/Yubel was dumping Crystal Beasts to the GY and just ended his turn, while maybe setting Cybernetic Hidden Technology face down just in case, he would have been in a MUCH stronger position. As now Jessie/Yubel would have no choice but to set their one trap in hand and just end their turn. Sure, they could crash their Crystal Beasts on the field into his Cyber Dragons to dump their remaining Crystal Beasts, but that would leave them with no defense except Rainbow Path which would only negate 1 attack. Delaying the summon of RDD and forcing them to either sit and wait for Zane to attack into them or wait to draw into RDD. And since we know they won't draw into any field wipes or cards that would let them get over Zane's monster, the latter could reliably stall for *several* turns to get more resources and potentially win the Duel as once RDD *is* summoned, Zane would have way more options to deal with it. Now, to be clear, I'm not saying Zane misplayed. He thought he had game with the plays he made that turn and since had had no way to know Rainbow Path was the card set, its completely fine. But, yeah, if Zane hadn't extended like he did, he probably would have won.

I never call it by its dub name.
Good point thank you!

To this day, I still hope for support for the Clear, Darkness, and Doll archetypes. Those are my favourite archetypes used by antagonists in GX.
Well I have good news for a third of your hopes
I cried so hard at the end of this duel.
It was such a good duel.

Could we get more of these? I genuinely love this
That's the plan, copyright is unfortunately being a pain with these.

You should check out the "was astral about to beat yuma". That duel is glorious and the video is really interesting

I'm gonna make Jesse-Yubel's duel disk. That's going to be a heck of a challenge

May I suggest reacting to "Was Dimitri about to defeat Jaden?"

"You didn't win!"
I mean didn’t he only have a bad heart because of his shock collar kink ?
They go over that in Season 4 actually, it ended up being from his Cyberdark deck mostly.
S4 GX is great.
