I will never tire of Lazy Eye.
That song is sheer perfection especially the bass lines.
Timeless for me.
Just found out there was so much more to SSPU than Lazy Eye. I mean... Lazy Eye really is a perfect song, but! I am so enjoying finding these little gems in all of their music. I'm sad I didn't know of them when each album was released but it's really nice having so much of their body of work to binge on.
If you like Smashing Pumpkins, you will love Silversun Pickups. If you don't like Smashing Pumpkins, you will love Silversun Pickups - "Somewhere on the internet"
If you dont love Silversun Pickups go smash some pumpkins over your head!
Silversun Pickups is just Smashing Pumpkins if they were The Crow soundtrack
Love SP love SSP
Love SP love SSP
Lol this is good
He has a good live voice.
amazing band , they deserve waay more recognition.
Nope Notgoingtohappen Best live acoustic for surr
Nope Not going to happen
man these guys were BIG in 2010 and for a good reason. But in time this genre decreased popularity. Still quality material there!
Agreed 💯
I will always love and appreciate them! Fuck genres and trends! They are amazing. Wish I saw them live more than once. They opened for muse so of course they made sure the sound quality was poor. I feel they could've easily outshined muse given the proper care and attention. I walked out after the 2nd muse song. Lights and effects are not music!!!!!!!
Everyone's talking about Brian (and with good reason) but Nikki was really in top form here too. It's almost strange to hear her sing with such power.
She sounded unreal on Latchkey Kids
Nikki’s incredible with her bass playing and her voice…and she’s hot, too!
@@kevingerm8642 I haven't paid too much attention to them since Neck of the Woods. Has Nikki sung lead on any songs since? Loved that she got to lead on Pikul.
This should be a top comment.
Nightlight: 0:30
The Pit: 6:29
Circadian Rhythm (Last Dance): 12:04
Panic Switch: 17:03
Latchkey Kids: 23:07
Lazy Eye: 27:26
+amulshah77 Thanks! :D
Obrigado!!! Gracias!!! Merciiiii beaucoup !!!! :-p
+amulshah77 You the PLUG
+C.H. Taylor stop pls
+Brandon Jameson Music same
I didn't realize it until now, but despite how long I've liked this band and have listened to their studio albums, I don't think I've ever given a listen to their live stuff. Shame on me. I especially like this acoustic stuff.
+Cedar Sun SSPU acoustic is almost on par with nirvana acoustic. It's that good.
+Cedar Sun I've been to everyone of their concerts anywhere near me- absolutely worth it
+David Heras I finally went to see them a couple weeks ago actually, and they were pretty amazing! sounded great live
+Joey Estacado Are you death? This predictable music is equal to one of the most iconic albums from one of the most iconic bands. HIPSTERS NOWADAYS...
+Anthony Mcintyre Well he did not name any of Nirvana's albums. Given that, let's compare. Nikki eats Niko for breakfast as far as musicality goes. Brian's guitar skills will put Cobain's to shame anytime you hear the riff from Lazy Eye. Guanlao is just a beast, though he doesn't show up in this shows. Check MTV's Kissing Families performance and tell me that it cannot be compared to The Man Who Sold The World.
Music evolve, and you don't have to call us hipsters because of it.
It just confirms the notion that if you work really hard at your craft and work your ass off, then one day you too can play in a bar with 14 people.
haha!
What's wrong with that? This is a special session thing.
14 very lucky people indeed :)
haters gone hate
This is an intentionally intimate show. This band can sell out large arenas. Don't hate. You don't get it.
this performance is AWESOME and should be released as an LP
Just realizing how his voice is really that controlled and clear when live
Impressive with his playing, isn't it?
It pisses me off how talented and perfect they are. They should be the biggest band in the world.
Agwee
They're amazing live!
@@diamaorozcoyes, I’ve seen them twice this past year and they always rock. Can’t wait till they come back to southern California.
I agree I don’t understand why they not on radio or talked bout.they were are so unique.pisses
Me off ..I love them
That Ad in the middle of Lazy Eye is some Bull****
watch it all on firefox with adbock
adds..? never get adds....?
Idk, I kinda liked it
This is one of the greatest rock performances of all time to me.. SSPU are amazing. KEPX is sun shine.
Ill never forget this performance. Not that I was there, I just saw it for the first time in 2016. I come back regularly. It is amazing
One word …. Khruangbin
Thought that you we're exaggerating. Watched video... you were not exaggerating.
@@TheRealWarez
can't believe I found this jewel 7 yrs later.
This version of Circadian Rhythm is PERFECT. Amazing.
17:15 acoustic bass goodness.
I love Nikki's stamina when shes playing the bass line for Panic Switch. She once played it solo for what seems like 3 minutes straight at the Norva in Norfolk, Virginia in 2010!
I love Brian & Nikki doing their music together. They are far more beautiful than they know & their music is beyond beautiful. Thank you Silversun Pickups for these type of concerts in addition to the full on productions with Joe & Christopher. I can't get enough of their music.
"Lazy Eye" is one bad ass mother f'n jam
heard that..
Dude I love the music video for
It too.
This is a wholly underexposed band who I can find has no bad songs. An arm's length concert with these guys would be incredibly dope!
Iooznbtx j check m g u true. N chi hi a ukulele

I'd be over the moon to have been there!
Why oh why do people win tickets to these sessions, which will be filmed, and then film it on their phones?!
+Drum Tracks Direct for memories?
+Kunst but they'll have the memories since it's being professionally recorded. why not just put the phones away and enjoy the experience firsthand?
Stephanie Smith Personally, I record my fav parts.. not even a full song. It makes a different when its on my phone, from my point of view, from how I saw things and who was around me than watching a professional recording. Also, usually in concert you don't have that option, this is a different case. HOWEVER, I still enjoy the experience first hand even while recording.
I wouldn't worry about it. They're just enjoying a great show and capturing a part of it.
+Kunst Its so annoying for the people behind you...
Nobody does a whisper to a scream, then back to a whisper better than Silversun Pickups....
Silversuns, never disappoint..................................
wow ! this version of lazy eye is really the best i ever heard.
That was an incredible performance. Very cool..very cool indeed!
At ~32:55... Where he gives a wink and then literally adjusts his Lazy Eye look to the camera. Love it. Love you, Silversun. So awesome.
Holy shit they have so much renewed energy and charisma in this performance. Both of their voices sound better than ever.
this is one of my top 5 bands of all times
Mars Volta They also rank in my top five. With Metallica, Pearl Jam, Bob Dylan, and Incubus.
Zeppelin, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Killers. But they are defínetely in my first 10s
@Whatsinaname Mars Volta Mars Volta At the Drive In and Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Smashing Pumpkins, Alice In Chains, SSPU, Depeche Mode, Pearl Jam for me
Brian's voice is in mint condition DX I wasn't ready... The Nightlight belts, the harmonies. My edges have vanished.
I freaking love that rendition of it!!
i always love to see a band show that they don't need a big production to prove how awesome their songs are, or for that matter, that they care about a big production. . great musicians, need more like them.
Still one of my favorite KEXP performances ever
Goodness, I'm usually against acoustic versions, but this was incredible. How in the hell has this band stayed primarily "under the radar" of the general public for this long? I've been listening since I was in high school. Graduated in '07. And this bad was a blip with Lazy Eye that I didn't really fall in love with until much, much later. Hands down one of the best acoustic sets I've personally witnessed.
Face totally f'n melted. Easily the best live recording I have ever seen. The quality... on everything... so far beyond. You crushed it, set the bar. Totally speechless. GAH! Do those people in the bar even know???
a new gem I got to know thanks to kexp
It's the mark of a great band when they sound even better live like this.
By far one of my favorite bands, and this session shows why. They are amazing.
I think silver Sun is better than smashing pumpkins
nikki keeping the beat on the lonely base line in panic switch while casually talking shit to brian. #swoon
89.3 The Current played this and we LOOOOOOOVed it. we love SSPU. and we are almost 50. How cool is that?
30:15 - So obviously two different bands and styles, BUT…. After Chester from LKN PARK left us, I was really bummed I would never again hear another vocalist with such beautiful loud screams of perfection. They’re not all gone my friends, this man is amazing when he cranks it up. Love how clear and satisfying his voice sounds at its peak. Love this band!
Is there a place to hear the original recording recording or to find this in FLAC format ???
OR was it originally recorded in MP3 quality ?
I've already tried the KEXP page but they just link to this youtube video.
Yo Brian was doing improv comedy bits while also playing and singing flawlessly.
I never knew Charlie Day was such a good singer.
John Trussell omgggg lmaooooo yessssss he reminds me of Charlie that’s why I have a huge crush on him 😝😝😋🤪😂😂😂😂
Nightman...aaaah.aaah
Charlie Day 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Great performance... I love Brian's expressive vocals and Nikki's calmness :-) Awesome as always
A Tyson joke and a Back to the Future reference. Best band ever.
this tied for personal favorite acoustic performance. horse the band's arrive is amazing but this makes up for it with a whole set.
my favourite one, as well. just plain awesome.
I LOVE THIS BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MEEE TOOOOOO
Yea.good taste.
Any one else ever try to match his range? Lets be real with ourselves. Lol not me. Glad this was recommended again. It's hard
great show and then some
Even though her bass is super simple her guitar sounds amazing.
Everything about this is rock and roll perfection
this music never gets old, sounds perfect even unplugged, definitely they deserve more recognition!
26:08 shivers when Nikki snaps to singing “latchkey kids” after humming
one of my favorite bands. Went to go see them at the Red Bull Soundstage and they where amazing!
+Jimmi Reaza: One of my faves right now, as well. Brian is so talented, it's crazy. As soon as I hear a new song, I automatically love it. Only other bands that I can say did that to me is Rush, Nirvana, and Foo Fighters. Metric is good too.
Brian Aubert is very talented & funny. Nice combination. Nikki is awesome.
I thought it was "Brain" (lol).
his voice sometimes reminded me of Anthony Green from Circa Survive
+Nuno Pepino same for me love that
+Nuno Pepino Yeah that was the first thing I thought too
When I first started listening to SSPU, I was reminded of Josh Klinghoffer from Dot Hacker.
For me, it was Billy Corgan, since when the band first got big, they were often compared to Smashing Pumpkins.
Yessssssss Anthony green voice is amazing! The notes he hits makes goosebumps appear !!
How do I get in on of theeeeese?? This was incredible.
Oh. So he's like Lindsay Buckingham. He just needs to embrace it.
I think you have to like this group to really appreciate the acoustic concerts, I personally LOVE there acoustic sets.
And the newest album is Killer !!! looking forward to whats next. If only my wife would like the music too :(
mAh wyeff!
@@blueconversechucks i like your name
Wow, that stripped down version of Lazy Eye just blew me away!
point me to a better acoustic performance of the last 6 years i'm waiting
Please let me know how we can attend one of these shows. My wife and I love the sound you produce. Lyrics speak to us.
Gee they are talented, funny and also acoustic. Just perfect to me🤘♥️🎤✨.
They Do. Can they do a bad version of Panic Switch?
I have watched/listened to this more times that I can count!
Damn this stuff is turning me into an unbalanced hipster
Jeez. Ive akways liked SSPUs but this is actually good. Like really good. Wish they'd come to Indianapolis so I can drive in to see them.
Anyone know how to purchase a copy of this recording?
Saw them last night in Boulder Colorado on 4/20😂, they are so good live
dam hot bass girl ...turn it up ....
:)
Paper Towel Pickups
Everybody in the comments gets it :,)
He should really tune his A string up to B for lazy eye....Playing that open A ruins the song for me
I love this set, listen to it at least 1 or 2 times a week. Better than album versions
I got so excited I spilled wine on my new carpet... don't tell my husband
Brian Nikki make Silversun Pickups
When I die. Panic Switch will be played as my son pours my ashes in the sea in Hawaii. 300- 400
Billion Stars in our Galaxy.
Life is everywhere.
God Bless everyone on this planet.
Peace. Galaxies Collide
There's a lot to unpack here.
bri bri has some pipes!
sick fucking pipes dawg!
1:45 - Obviously, there have been Groups-where their Voices complimented each other _perfectly (Beatles, The Band, CSNY, Beach Boys…)_
But, apart from Fleetwood Mac (Stevie/Lindsey), _Abba,_ and _The Mamas & Papas…_ I’m genuinely having trouble thinking of Male/Female harmonies-where their voices blended as well as they do here - 1:46 , 1:29…
Their voices just fit together, so perfectly.
I watch this session at least 4 times a year. I was supposed to see them in Nashville March 2020 until the pandemic hit. Still hope to see them one day soon
Did you get to see them yet!?!?
This might be my favorite video on UA-cam; maybe even the whole internet who knows!
One of the best bands around.
OMG! I fell in love with Circadian Rhythm on acoustic!! They are amazing! I play this over and over ❤I hope that one day they release an unplugged album...
There is a bootleg unplugged album which is only 7 songs and it very great album in great quality.
i miss u liz ❤
21:43 = PERFECT timing!!
This performance on KEXP is much more powerful than their studio recordings.
I've listened to this band for a first first time when I accidentally found this video. And I thought that this is an acoustic project. They really sond better unplugged.
Of course it's a subjective opinion, but I keep watching this video on and on, now it's a third day I think since I've seen this for a first time.
No words, they're amazing!
This goes from cute to woah and back again like all the time.
I've watched this like ten times now
Their songs are wonderful in acoustic version too. Great musicians and singers. ❤❤❤❤
All Achievements become unlocked at Lazy Eye ...True guitar heroes
haha nice one
Great! *_*
but why never a live with all the silversun pickups?
acustic is great but when they're together it's better!
I really think they're an all time great band. When you watch them live they just kill it, love these guys
You guys are the absolute coolest!
You'll notice there isnt a person below 40 years of age, KEXP is a big deal and that shit has some high rollers paying for this show. Its Seattle, middle of the day, those people are ballin
One of the best bands of our time.
I will never tire of Lazy Eye.
That song is sheer perfection especially the bass lines.
Panic switch ♡ :3
The harmonies on Circadian rythem are amazing!
Love this band.
Brovo! Hit it on so many notes
He reminds me of Billy Corgan if he had hair
Except he's nothing without Nikki
