I truly despise the "I've been doing this for x years" shtick. The length of time you've been doing something is no guarantee that what you're doing is correct. This attitude was epitomised by that patronising little oaf at the end.
That male cop was clearly struggling on a basic level. Anyone who hasn't been a police officer statistically has a higher potential to understand and comprehend the law. That cop fell flat on his face at the end.

Exactly, she went from "You can't take pictures it's a protected site!" To "You've got your pictures so why aren't you leaving?" The number of police who do not understand clear, accurate information given verbally by members of the public is astonishing. Do they really pass entrance examinations for such a job or is the system fixed?
The formulation: "If they ask you to (fill in the blank); why aren't you doing it?" But their job is just to "ask questions"...as-if their agenda can't be easily spotted based on the questions they choose to ask...and often they as rhetorical questions.
