Amazingly beautiful
Смотрю и слушаю.Процесс увлекательный, а итог замечательный.Благодарю Вас.
I found myself in tears while watching. Many thanks.
He has a gift. I can see why you get emotional.
I know I keep saying this with every one of your paintings, but THIS ONE is my favorite! (So far). Thank you.
I got up this morning here in Arizona, USA, got my coffee, looked at the sunrise, which was lighting up the clouds with pink and pale orange, and sat down at my computer to see what was new. A new painting by Dusan! A painting with colorful clouds like I had just witnessed. What a great start to my week. Thanks, Dusan.
Beautifully explained
Thanks for the nice words Linda, you're very nice and I'm glad you like my painting videos. Have a lovely week 😊🌼🌞
That was a stunning sky. That reflection so beautifully done. And that surfer, awesome !
My sciatica pain was pretty rough tonight. Best cure: 2 Tylenol, get comfortable & watch Dusan create his magic. Having once lived in an ocean resort town, this painting is personal for me. True & Beautiful!
Thanks very much. If it helps, then I'm happy. Hang in there.
@@PaintingsbyDusan Thanks Dusan!
@@PaintingsbyDusan Beautiful the surfer and the WAVES .
Love your paintings, if I could be just a tenth of your talent at 61, I would be very very happy

Thanks Salwa 😊👍
i could watch you paint for hours. These are so calming and inspire me alot to start painting more
Thank you 🌞
Oh, What a beautiful picture! Thank you very much, you inspired me not to be afraid of canvas and oil, because my oil was hidden deep in the table and up to this point I painted only with watercolor and acrylic
That's really cool to hear Andy. No fear my friend, watercolour is harder to use than oil anyway :)
Incantevole ogni tuo quadro... Thank you for sharing.... Hi 🤗frome Italy 🇮🇹 ❤️

So beautiful.......congratulations!
Once again I am amazed.
Perfect.😍🤩
I enjoyed watching the video very very beautiful painting, greeting from Holland
Thanks Ahmad :)
Honestly, your talent is so incredible, I found myself wanting to paint! I love the way you make it so easy looking. And the colors you used to create this masterpiece are colors I wouldn't think would be traditional colors and yet you captured the sunset! I was born and raised in Florida and I know what the beach looks like and you have absolutely captured this, although I think maybe the scene might be the West coast. Awesome Job! I am subscribing to your channel!

Thank you Amary 😊
Nice👍
Can you make tutorials, with colour mixing? I really want to learn how to paint like you. I’m a beginner.
Sure, there about 15 or so of them sprinkled over time where I mix paint to the side or on the canvas as I go along. The last one I did was called Going on an Adventure. Otherwise there are paint mixing videos in the playlist area. Keep trying and practising :)
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you Sofia 😊
Awesome thank you
Thanks Anthony :)
Really sooo good Bay Dusan :) thank you for this video :) I still follow :)
Thanks for the support Napolyon. I keep trying :)
Good vid!
Thanks mate :)
Was wondering why you use black background. Thanks Dusan, enjoyed and learned a lot from your video.
Hi Zoong, I use black acrylic paint to seal the painting surface - sometimes twice. The colour can be any of your choosing - I just prefer a dark ground to work on.
Veramente molto molto bravo👍👍
Grazie, è carino da parte tua dire
I like painting a lot but i really think that you should have used differant tool for the sky. Knife makes clouds look too heavy. Its worked great for the beach tho.
Thanks brother, probably - can always try a different approach on the next one 👍🙂
I love the colors this painting is amazing! I can’t believe u did all that with a palette knife
Thanks Emma
This is gorgeous. Love the palette. When do you decide to flip the painting?
Thanks Michael, I flip the painting only when I feel my lines aren't quite straight or if I feel I cant quite get the angle I need - so rather then twisting myself I flip the canvas 😁
Awesome as usual! Do u use mediums when u palette knife? Or do u just let the oil dry as it may
Thanks Derrick. No mediums, nor turps. Just the paint. Takes about 14 days to be touch dry, 3-4 months cured.
Do you let the paint dry before introducing a new color?
I paint while it's wet so that the knife can glide across the surface and I can correct areas, take paint off if needed.
Excellent work Dusan! Can you tell us your thoughts on why you flipped the painting upside down and continued to paint? Especially painting clouds? I thought it could have been the downward pull of the paint strokes but you switched to a brush. I do understand it gives you a fresh look at the painting but I have never seen anyone continue to paint upside down. Thanks for sharing your wonderful paintings!
Hi Robert, I don't always flip a painting, usually only when it's quite busy up top. As you mentioned it gives me a fresh look on things and I figure it's already flipped I might as well continue painting - it keeps things interesting for me and allows me to focus on what I'm painting.
Well, it is working well for you. I will give this a try on my next painting. Great work Dusan!
Just breathtaking... May I ask - why the first coat is black? Can it be another colour?
Thanks Elena, The first coat is just acrylic and it can be any colour you wish. It seals the canvas once or twice more. I like a dark ground, but that is just me.
@@PaintingsbyDusan thank you for the amazing work. I am just a beginner. So, your art for me like mountain Everest))))))
I really enjoy your work, your videos are both inspiring and relaxing. I’m a newbie artist and only have acrylic paint. I know oil dry slower but do you think I could try it with acrylic paint? So happy you’re doing what you love!
Thanks Brenda you can definitely use a palette knife with your acrylic paint. You may need to gradually build up the layers as texture underneath is hard to work with. Other than that have fun with it, great tool to use 😊
Love the paintings, the technique and the music. What size canvas do you use? and brand of paint?
Thanks Claritzar, 🤗 I use a variety of sizes. This one is 16 x 12 inches or 40 x 30 cm. I use all types of brands of oil paint, not that picky 😁👍
Hia - I LOVE your work - i wanted to know - can this only really be done with Oil or will acrylic do? Thanks :)
Thanks Elie, Acrylic would need a bit of a different process than oil paint, you would be using thin layers / scraps of paint and slowly building it up and gradually introducing thicker paint as the image began to take shape and you were confident about placement of objects / landmarks. You can't take the paint off with acrylics fast drying time so go slow and gradually get thicker.
Hii...nice one...which app used to edit this video..plz
Why do you start with black canvas instead of white. Curious
Primarily to seal the surface and also I prefer it to be anything other than white just to begin. It all ends up being covered.
Can I know y do u use black canvas instead of white
Hi Kosuru, The base coat is acrylic paint, which is dry. It's
primary use is to seal the ready made stretched canvases that you can
commonly buy. They aren't sealed enough and are quite 'thirsty' and
absorb the oil from the paint to eagerly, which is not good. The base
coat can be any colour, which does influence the colours you place on
top.
@@PaintingsbyDusan interesting. :).
In winter, I did one wet on wet, w Bob Ross and it took a week to dry. :) I'm guessing Liquid White is a form of acrylic?
I like your easy cleanup w knives.
Thanks mate. Liquid white is runny oil paint which is white oil paint and lots of artist linseed oil mixed together 👍
Is there a color list for this painting?
Hi Roger, I tend to mix my colours the same way most of the time, you can see my palette in the playlist section under Colour Mixing, hope it helps.
Thank you. I love your work.
What type of board do you paint on?
It's stretched canvas coated in black acrylic paint to seal the surface a little more.
Hi,Dusan
! i love your paintings !! i am an Artist as well, and I'd love to make a living as Artist, how do you do it? how can i make a living as an artist, ? thanks
Thanks Jackie, ironically it used to be easier. With such a scattered online marketplace it makes it much harder to get your work in front of a person that will enjoy it. It comes down to having a backup for income as you make your work, hopefully with the two either complimenting one another of at least not being so taxing that you don't feel like making art and have some energy left in the tank to forge on. Keep going :)
can you share the colours used?
The colours I use are in the colour mixing playlist.
