Meghan, I would say that a reason why you may have lost some of your audience is because, what ever UA-cam changed, everyone has dramatically increased the length of their videos. I have a lot of people that I try to follow but I just don't have the time to watch videos for hours. So I start with the videos that are less than 10 minutes. After that I just pick the longer videos that look interesting until I run out of time. Every night I leave many videos unwatched, not by choice but because of a lack of time. Your audience probably falls into this same category. They used to be young, but as they get older, there are a lot more things that compete for their time. Not sure what you should do about it, but just an observation :)
Around like 4:50 and I side with everything especially the last part. This feels like a more fresh start and much more genuine than the the more structured videos. I've followed you before lifeburry was a thing, back in the vlog candy days and I'm still here for a reason :) do what feels natural to you and most importantly have fun!
I've been around since 2009, still here. Whatever happens to the algorithm, or the channel changes you go through, I'll be floating around. Glad you are feeling happier, your health and wellbeing are more important than consistent uploads. Breaks are important, don't feel guilty for them. All the best for the re-relaunch!😊

Meghan, if you haven't already watched it, you should watch Little Witch Academia. It started in the winter 2016/2017 anime season and is still ongoing now. Just with the things you said in this video you reminded me a bit of the main character Akko. It is an anime about witches and Akko, who wasn't born into a magical family, is attending the witch school because she aspires to be like this other witch who when she was a young kid she saw perform. Of course since Akko is from a non-magic family she is really bad at casting spells and messes up a lot and is made fun of by other students but she still tries her best. It has a few short films and then the anime series.

And this cute pixie thing comes out of a book and hits one of the girls in the head. but later in the episode Emily finds out she is one of the glitter force she is glitter lucky. She finds out she is one of the glitter for because she has to go up against a fairytale creature of you watch it let me know what you think
