back in 2010-12ish my ex-favorite Lao gogo dancer from "Erotica a-Go-Go" (Nana Plaza) was happy with 2K cab fare for an all night, sleep in longtime. In fact, some days she would stay so late she would go straight to work from my hotel room. Good, days long past, times! cheers! ron:)

Thanks for this useful video. To me the baht bus is easily the best value in town. I always stay very near Beach or Second Road when I visit. In fact ease of transportation (and specifically the baht bus) is one of the reasons I visit Pattaya. Ease of getting around town is a major benefit for any tourist/regular visitor.

Every time I was in Pattaya I'd get a haircut at Absolute just off the beach road. And they would always bring out a book of celebrities to see whose haircut you wanted your to look like. The book was just page after page of Ryan Seacrest pics. LOL
It has occurred to me that the longer Thailand takes to recover, the better the deals will get. Now that the Chinese market looks like it's decimated and not likely to improve anytime soon, the better it'll be for all other tourists and retirees on a budget. I gotta get out of Canada - things are ridiculously expensive here ($30.00 for a haircut) and you can't find anything even close to the deals or prices you quote here on this video... Now the cold weather has started (32F or just below atm but in a few months it'll be -10F to -30F or even colder) and I'm just wishing I was enjoying the Summer temps & weather in Thailand!

Bolt is great value. I remember when I was last time in Pattaya they charged me 500 baht from Temple of Truth to walking street. I can't wait to use bolt app every day when I come back.

My nr 1 thing i come to Pattaya for is the Bath buses the best transportation (system) in the world hands down, here in Sweden we have buses on time schedule like very 30 min (high time like 15 min if lucky) not like wave down one bathbus and it passes next stops , if you miss one in Sweden ( on the 30 min ) you are not happy then ofc i come for other reasons to Pattaya ofc (but girls and booze you can find every where in Thailand almost (like Phuket or the small islands, Bangkok and so on)) i have been only once (my first trip to Thailand) to Phuket , and i refused to use the tuk tuk (mafia) so i walked every where the whole trip (a pain in you know what ,so that's why i don't go back there after that first time) so when i came to Pattaya (second Trip to Thailand)i though i was in heaven (transportation heaven that is) so easy to go about in the city and CHEAP and now days i even from time to time use a Mc/scooter :) taxi , but for a long time i didn't at all for the first like 6-8 years i have been on holiday at Pattaya

Last time I was there (beginning of the year), a few massage shops were still offering Thai massage for 100 baht / hour. Many shops lowered the rate during the height of the pandemic. I'd guess it'll have gone back up now

I thought, as you were walking past a water machine in the first scene, that first one would have been a litre of water from a water machine for about 60 satang. Water from 7/11 is a least 15 times more expensive.

There are some of the "boat noodle" places around town for 15 and 20 baht but you need at least 2 bowls to equal a normal portion. That is how they are served in Ayutthaya where it originates so it's not a rip off or anything, just the style for that type of noodle offering 👍
To me a burger is beef. The food industry has started calling everything formed into a patty to make it sound more appetizing. Is tin cup still around? Used to be you couldn’t beat their prices.
I spend $30 for a hair cut in the US, 30....and it's nothing fancy And just recently paid $30 for the worst thai basil fried rice with duck I've even encountered. In need of a massage, expecting to pay around $60 for that, but it's been awhile since my last one, so the actual bill might hurt my feelings.... oh I miss Thailand....

I would add about the baht bus from Jomtien into Pattaya direction, at the end of October they were stopping at Pattaya Tai junction before heading onto main 2nd road and saying 10 baht from Jomtien finished another 10 baht if you stayed on. Which is of course what happens in the other direction as you have to change to a Jomtien direction baht bus if you came from Dolphin roundabout along beach road.
The Baht Buses haven't had an increase since 2005. I dont begruge them an extra 10 Baht, still a bargain. Just ask anybody staying in Phuket, Koh Samui or even Chang Mai.
@@Rides4Kickz yeah I just paid the 20baht at The Edge and walk up Diana to Chaiyapoon. The return journey is 20baht as get off at the school and get back on a Jomtien baht bus. But I did walk to soi 6 from ones that turned into Pattaya Klang to go back down Buakhao. Then I got off.
Mechanic doesn't look like he's using chain lube. I think he's using the best product for lubing a bike chain...80W gear oil. A shop can probably buy that little bottle for 25 Baht and it will lube MANY chains. If I get a 100 Baht massage, I usually tip at least 50 Baht...in one of your past videos you were even more generous than 50 Baht with the tip. Good stuff.

I think you are short-changing the baht bus drivers. Once you go past Soi 15 you should pay an extra 10 baht. That is the end of that circuit. One thing I think you could add to your list is a bottle of water from 7/11 @ 7 baht. The same size bottle here in Australia costs $3.50 which is approximately 12 times as much @ 24 baht to the $..
it uses a burger type roll so it is a burger roll not a sandwich which uses sliced bread from a loaf. nice eveni ng option couple of beers with a feed.
Sailor Bar: barbecue, potato salad and a big cocktail for 120 baht sat&sun evenings. Beefeater: Mexican Buffet with delicious barbecue ribs for 345 baht. Sat & sun 12:00-4:00pm. My favorites.
Today, I had the mexican buffet (Sat/Sun only) at the Beefeater for 350 Baht. If you are very hungry, I am sure it qualifies as a value meal in the top 20 List perhaps. These are the kind of videos we would love to watch.

Natural Beach Hotel ($18 on Agoda) has horrible nightmare reviews Tripadvisor, although some reviews were dated - Bugs, dirt, tiny bar of soap, no towels, nasty staff. I think I'll stick with the Hilto, albeit 10,000 bhat more expensive. I did not like where her hand was heading during your bargain food massage 😮 Glad the UA-cam censors did not flag you. I noticed that Lady drinks, Bare fines, Short time, Long time, prices did not make it on the top 10.,
UNbelievable value burger............if it's in a burger bun, it's a burger.....................a sandwich usually implies between 2 slices of bread................. but then that would all depend on where you come from !!........................excellent thrifty vid............................

Ah, the old UA-cam hotel rates ‘kiss of death’. Rates of hotel go up coincidentally once a review is done. I had my eye on this place for March next year and it’s now 1,000 THB😢😢. It is what it is.
Yes, they are good value for Pattaya. That's of cause if you don't mind eating what I would call junk American food. Burgers and Pizza. But you have to pick them out. I have just come back from Pattaya. Spent 5 night there (Wish it had only been 1 night) But beside that You never mentioned any bars. That most tourists go to. You would treble that price with a couple of beers. My Buddha drink prices are through the roof. Compared to what I pay in upper Thailand. Please don't ask what the bar fines and the so called "Ladies" want now just make sure you have taken out a bank loan. Out of curiosity I asked a "Lady" in Tree Town, and she said 500bht bar fine and 1000bht for her. I thought that was very cheap, that was before she added that's per hour. So, yes there are still some places that you can eat cheap and get the odd drink. Just stay well clear of soi 7 Soi B and tree town also not forgetting Soi Pothole or any girly streets. If you want cheap western food, go to places like C/Charlies. Not the greatest but you get what you pay for, and their bottled beer (Leo) is 49bht a go. Or next door to Sutus court Bar and you'll get a large bottle of Leo for 75bht. You are correct that if you look hard, you can still find some cheap places. But none of those prices will last too long. Most are going up by 50% now the high season is here.
You could just live on the noodle soup and you’d be healthy and happy. First time in Pattaya? Just stay at the Dynasty Inn, walking distance to the beach and Walking St and Soi LK Metro.
I’m by no means a cheap Charlie but always looking for good value. The Batht Bus has always been one I thought was incredible as well as massages (especially compared to the USA). Hard to find lower beer prices so appreciate the one you found. I find it interesting how beer is so much cheaper in Vietnam than Thailand given they both have their own breweries. It’s like the price of water over there. All the best as you prepare for your “big” trip.
Can’t wait to give the frog a go at that price. Buzzin Bar has local beer for Thb39 during their happy hour. That’s the only one I know that might be cheaper.

Yes, that was on the list of 15 I originally made and cut to 10 but also a great value there.
I would add about the baht bus from Jomtien into Pattaya direction, at the end of October they were stopping at Pattaya Tai junction before heading onto main 2nd road and saying 10 baht from Jomtien finished another 10 baht if you stayed on. Which is of course what happens in the other direction as you have to change to a Jomtien direction baht bus if you came from Dolphin roundabout along beach road.
What did you do? My guess is you got off at Pattaya Tai and walked the rest of the way 🤣
The Baht Buses haven't had an increase since 2005. I dont begruge them an extra 10 Baht, still a bargain. Just ask anybody staying in Phuket, Koh Samui or even Chang Mai.
@@Rides4Kickz yeah I just paid the 20baht at The Edge and walk up Diana to Chaiyapoon. The return journey is 20baht as get off at the school and get back on a Jomtien baht bus. But I did walk to soi 6 from ones that turned into Pattaya Klang to go back down Buakhao. Then I got off.

Mechanic doesn't look like he's using chain lube. I think he's using the best product for lubing a bike chain...80W gear oil. A shop can probably buy that little bottle for 25 Baht and it will lube MANY chains. If I get a 100 Baht massage, I usually tip at least 50 Baht...in one of your past videos you were even more generous than 50 Baht with the tip. Good stuff.

I think you are short-changing the baht bus drivers. Once you go past Soi 15 you should pay an extra 10 baht. That is the end of that circuit.
One thing I think you could add to your list is a bottle of water from 7/11 @ 7 baht. The same size bottle here in Australia costs $3.50 which is approximately 12 times as much @ 24 baht to the $..

some information is wrong. from copacabana to central pattaya is not 10 it is 20 baht.

Almost every restaurant in USA uses a burger bun and calls it a chicken sandwich.
Sailor Bar: barbecue, potato salad and a big cocktail for 120 baht sat&sun evenings. Beefeater: Mexican Buffet with delicious barbecue ribs for 345 baht. Sat & sun 12:00-4:00pm. My favorites.

OK, here is mine: Before Pattaya and on the way back, visit Maitri Chit Road in Bangkok, which is walking distance from the Hua Lamphong metro station. About $25 for basic service, a bargain in comparison to Pattaya....

Ah, the old UA-cam hotel rates ‘kiss of death’. Rates of hotel go up coincidentally once a review is done. I had my eye on this place for March next year and it’s now 1,000 THB😢😢. It is what it is.
Yes, they are good value for Pattaya. That's of cause if you don't mind eating what I would call junk American food. Burgers and Pizza. But you have to pick them out. I have just come back from Pattaya. Spent 5 night there (Wish it had only been 1 night) But beside that You never mentioned any bars. That most tourists go to. You would treble that price with a couple of beers. My Buddha drink prices are through the roof. Compared to what I pay in upper Thailand. Please don't ask what the bar fines and the so called "Ladies" want now just make sure you have taken out a bank loan. Out of curiosity I asked a "Lady" in Tree Town, and she said 500bht bar fine and 1000bht for her. I thought that was very cheap, that was before she added that's per hour. So, yes there are still some places that you can eat cheap and get the odd drink. Just stay well clear of soi 7 Soi B and tree town also not forgetting Soi Pothole or any girly streets. If you want cheap western food, go to places like C/Charlies. Not the greatest but you get what you pay for, and their bottled beer (Leo) is 49bht a go. Or next door to Sutus court Bar and you'll get a large bottle of Leo for 75bht. You are correct that if you look hard, you can still find some cheap places. But none of those prices will last too long. Most are going up by 50% now the high season is here.

I live in Naklua. A baht bus from Jomtien to Naklua is 20 baht. I usually give 30 baht when I get off at the Lumpini.

I’m by no means a cheap Charlie but always looking for good value. The Batht Bus has always been one I thought was incredible as well as massages (especially compared to the USA). Hard to find lower beer prices so appreciate the one you found. I find it interesting how beer is so much cheaper in Vietnam than Thailand given they both have their own breweries. It’s like the price of water over there. All the best as you prepare for your “big” trip.
