I love old rockport days.. this is the year i want to be in. When i was young a driver by the name of AJ or TJ allowed me to climb on into the cab of an SCREAMER. I got to blow the horn and ring the bell! He also allowed me to turn on the HEP. But i didn’t do it i was scared at that time. I was 8 at that time now in 2023 i regret saying no to him.. when i start driveling for the T one day i will always remember what happen in 2015.
seeing b&m as both a railfan and a roller coaster enthusiast is so annoying because there's also a big roller coaster manufacturer who's shorthand is B&M
I remembered when the Rockport yard was all B & M RDC cars then in 1978 after the great snow storm in 1978 the yard had GP - 7 with RDC cars then you had the X - BN GP - 9’s m/u with the RDC cars then the FH - 9 engines with the GO lease commuter rail cars if this yard could talk it would give you a history report
I worked for over 30 years for the commuter rail as a conductor the screamer’s were the most reliable the new engines are junk never had to make as many rescues in my career.
Honestly, I'm also kinda sad that the MBTA is upgrading a lot of there railroad crossings from the 80's. (For example: north beverly, Hamilton Wenham, and some others that I can't think off the top of my head.)
Yea, me too with the ones I didnt capture. Most of these videos are my brothers or father (who filmed for us). I didnt start filming nyself till about 2015
