- Looking for one of the best cheap soldering station values on the market, the OSS Team T12-X is definitely worth consideration. It uses direct-drive tip technology which is fast, accurate, and thermally more efficient and it is very reasonably priced at Rs 2000/- $26.00 USD.
This makes it a great modern soldering station for the hobbyist or student who wants the professional performance of a Hakko 912 and safety features, at a fraction of the cost. Solder the most delicate SMD components right up to 8AWG wire. This versatile soldering station with the many available different sized T12 solder tips can do it all equally well. There are a few minor quality issues, but they are easy to remedy or overlook considering the low price tag.
At the end of the day, this little 8A4K60S2A12 8bit MCU Controlled T12 soldering station is a wonderful tool for the hobbyist's workbench.

Thanks for the review. So, tip is grounded, but case seems to be ungrounded. Did you check whether there's continuity between case and ground?
That feature seems incredibly rare with T12 station. This OSS T12-X has the best looking handpiece, but having to ground the case manually makes that advantage not stand out for most users.
Mine is off 50°C and when I try to calibrate it by pushing encoder in 3 seconds it goes to a number 44? The temperature doesn't change.
