LTC Ronald Alcala moderates a panel where MAJ John Brown, Prof Rob Lawless & Dr Sasha Radin highlight a number of law of armed conflict issues that may arise on the battlefield in 2035 and that deserve particular attention.
The Future Character of War and The Law of Armed Conflict event on April 22, 2021. Organized jointly by Army Futures Command and The Lieber Institute for Law and Land Warfare at West Point, the event stressed the importance of thinking through possible legal implications in future war in advance. The event includes an introduction to the partnership between the Lieber Institute and Army Futures Command, an overview of Army Futures Command’s work, an overview of the future character of warfare in 2035 and beyond, and a number of highlighted legal issues.
