Thank you for the travel footage on the way to the restaurant that let's us absorb the beauty of the terrain. So lovely. Yes, recording your hotel stays would be fun for sure. So grateful you share these adventures w/ us. Now I'm looking forward to retiring in a few years and adventuring with my wife here in Wine Country!

It was SO GOOD. We have been to the one in Knoxville but this one is better!
Very nice meal. Jen likes everything I never hear her give a bad review and I've watched about 25 videos so far . Yes on eating the tail of the shrimp . Dawson seemed like an outstanding server .

Wow that place was a gem,, that fish stuffed w😢ith crab looked out if this world. Rich's seafood platter was enough food for 3 or 4 people, That shrimp was humongous , And that peanut butter pie would probably send me into sugar shock, but I'd risk it. God bless and have a great week,🇺🇸

Imagine having a restaurant named after a bay I used to live not far from! I remember going fishing and crabbing in the Chesapeake Bay! Your stuffed flounder looked delicious! The crabmeat brought back memories of backfin crab cakes! Yummy! Seafood platter looked good, as well, especially the shrimp! Soo good! And peanut butter pie is a nice way to end the meal! Everything looked delicious!

I liked the looks of the variety of bread that they served. This food looked so good. It's no higher than getting a good steak in Gatlinburg. We definitely are wanting to try out Chesapeakes. Thanks for the great review!

Looks like you all sat in the same seats we did when visiting from middle Georgia in the first week of April, We went with the healthier seafood broiler plater vs the fried and it was awesome, we walked from our Rivers edge lodge which was not far away to avoid parking fees, not to be a penny pincher next time you all drive into Gatlinburg drive down that back river road which has free parking if you find a slot if not continue towards the restaurant and pay for parking especially when Gatlinburg is not busy and you can park for free, wanted to go back before we left to get the spinach crab dip ( which another UA-camr recommended) but never made it, our lodge was near Howard’s Restaurant , and managed to pick up a slice of peanut butter pie which took me 4 days to finish when I brought it back home, but that same pie looked better at Chesapeakes, will try next time, thanks, 👍😀
Yes, that free parking is great, we just didn’t feel like walking although it was a really nice day!! That peanut butter pie was good!!😊
That’s another restaurant that we will definitely have to try. I think Rich had the better entree….that’s right up my alley but Jen’s entree looked fantastic too!! Thanks for another great video!!

Hello!! Yes-lived in Jax for 49 years, we lived in the Mandarin area. Moved here about 4 years ago.
What brought y’all to the Gatlinburg area?
We had a second home here and when Covid hit we retired early from our food industry jobs. We planned to retire here anyway so we sold our house and moved up here. We always loved the mountains and our Son and his wife live in North Knoxville.
It was wonderful. A little pricey but worth it for the delicious food😊

Chesapeake's is my favorite. They just added lobster rolls to the spring lunch menu...delish!

They had not so good restaurants when I visited Gatlinburg, but it has been 15 years ago. This restaurant is beautiful. Yummy. The prices are reasonable compared to where I live. I eat the tail of shrimp but not the very end.

What about going to dollyworld, show us fun things there and food places, might me a suggestion, it might be fun, this is dixie from texas. I have seen some of dollyworld and the rides only on utube. And stayin in hotels is a great idea, what about any bed or breakfasts places around might also be fun.

I haven’t, I almost got them but the spinach Mac and cheese sounded intriguing! I will try them another time for sure!
We liked Rivers edge lodge inn, it’s a quieter part of Gatlinburg , even though they probably have the worst continental breakfast , but a very close walk to flapjacks, Howard’s Restaurant and Crocketts restaurant , and a few others and is affordable especially if you stay more than 4 days , if you book ahead of time, and the trolley picks you up there by the river , you can walk the river road to avoid a lot of walkers on the strip during busier times of the seasons 👍, just a vacationers tip
Great tip! The trolley is fantastic when it’s busy and you’re not staying in Gatlinburg. Keeps you from having to pay to park!
Next time my mom and I go to Gatlinburg we will have this place on our list to try! We both love calamari. What restaurant in Jacksonville, Florida do you compare it to, we live 30 mins from there and go all the time. No shrimp tail for me, I will pick the meat out but the shell part is a texture thing for me.
Probably most similar to any of The Fish Camp restaurants. Are you familiar with them?
My husband went to a restaurant that we don’t get to very often and I was so looking forward to their peanut butter pie. Unfortunately, they had other pies that day😩

Yea the food is awesome , but pricey, we had our grandson with us , we paid about $150 when we left, but we’ll worth it when your enjoying life and traveling 👍😀

Do they serve crab legs? My husband and i are planning a trip to Gatlinburg in September, he loves crab legs, we would prefer to stay in Gatlinburg then to go to peogeon forge.😊
