Mr Sinise, Semper Fi! I lived in Blue Island until I joined the Marines in 1987 until 1994, my dad was Army, a Baker at Iversons, and also a volunteer fireman in Blue Island for over 25 years! I was in LE for a while, and still have many friends still living it every day. Thank you so much for what you do, and the humility you show in being allowed to be a part of it.
I read Gary's book "Grateful American" a few years ago and he described in the book exactly what he chats about to Chief Reda! Very Cool to see the pictures of his Family and his home town! I served in USAF Security Police from Apr 84 to Apr 94. In Tech School (Lacklund AFB - Camp Bullis) we visited the USO (San Antonio) was a memorable day as a kid, at 18 I was still a kid. Me and my friends visited the River Walk (a boat ride through canals where there're gift shops built under the bridges). We also went to the mall but unfortunately didn't see the Alamo.
