Doing real time tuning of each step would be very helpful. The PowerPoint screen leave so much of the process confusing. Also a lot of us don’t have the Max system. This video was very helpful in understanding the concept but I couldn’t do it because I don’t know how to use each control. It would be nice to see the real time work flow. Please produce a video that shows how the tun software works in real time. Demonstration in real time would be more understanding.
Same here i get the concept thats why im here but i finally got the software and boy in confused... I may get to listen to my vxi one day... The boys are up to close to see it from the beginners perspective... They need to train a noob like us from start to finish and capture that as videos. Nothing seems to be in a logical progression to me. Ive spent hours watching the videos and the best one ive found is from car audio fabrications.... Why does life have to be so complicated
Well done gentleman on explaining both a comprehensive process and also some of the fairly complicated science behind it that helps in understanding application. Max looks like a wonderful, compact and well thought out tool. I've been using a multi-mic measurement setup and another firms software for years. I like what you guys have come up with. Although it may fall out of the scope of this video- you did make note of "pre-ringing" or post ringing with impulse measurement. I think it would be helpful for the audience to understand what those are, what can cause them and ways to mitigate. Looking forward to more videos.
You spoke at the beginning about 3.5 coax with some setup that won't work. That made me wonder if the setup I am creating is viable. What do you think? Car: Rav4 2019 Hybrid XLE Head Unit: Alpine Halo11 ILX-F511 DSP: JL TWK 88 Amp: JL XD600/6 Speakers (all 6 connected to JL XD amp): Dash: Infinity REF3032CFX (Tweeters) Front Doors: Kicker 44QS674 (components with Twitter mounted on them and external analog crossovers doing the separation since I have only a 6 ch amp) Rear Doors: Kicker 51KSC6704 Subwoofer: JBL BassPro Hub (powered - connected directly to TWK88) I hope there is no need but If something speaker-wise is to be altered what would it be? Thanks in advance your opinion is greatly appreciated.
Guys, I finally got my dream setup w7ae and slash series amp, I feel like my older brother when I was a kid he had w6 and I loved the bass I finally got my own set up 💯
Questions that probably anybody can answer. I have a set of JBL Stadium including a 22s midrange but the specs of the 22s say frequency response 500hz-7KHz. Does that mean that cannot go below 500hz and beyond 7khz on bandpass crossover, right?, but when I try to match the JL Audio curve I have to change the 500hz to less in order to achieve the midrange curve. Is that o.k? I'm learning car audio to tune my system properly ( VX800/8i ). The other question is about Signal Generator. I set my mic and everything but I have to play Pink Noise on my HU in order to get the audio for the measure. When I play Signal Generator it sounds on my laptop but my HU is playing music. Sorry to make these questions, probably I missed them on the video but It is a lot of information that I have to understand more to get more familiar with the software and tuning. Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out, Scott. You would need to program the input and output settings along with crossovers into the amplifier first. It can not just be played out of the box without an appropriate TuN project loaded to it. It does not necessarily have to have EQ applied, but it needs to have basic input and output settings.
Great content guys. These videos are the "secret sauce" in the car audio industry, and you guys have done an amazing job of presenting the information in a useful and interesting way. One question, are these videos produced as inter-company teachings that were then released to UA-cam, or are the UA-cam viewers the original audience? Just curious if this was made originally for installers who use your products or the general DIYMA crowd
Much appreciated! These sessions are originally hosted LIVE on Facebook Live every Thursday at 4PM EST. They are then edited and repurposed for our UA-cam audience.

Great idea! We'll be sure to bring this up to the training team :)
You need a step by step video on how to set everything up. Dump the slide show its not helpful
Completely agree, this is a common disconnect from trade specific engineers that are deep in the weeds and the end user.
Any shop recommendation for tuning in Fort Lauderdale area? I have two mvi amps on the boat thank you

Car: Rav4 2019 Hybrid XLE
Head Unit: Alpine Halo11 ILX-F511
DSP: JL TWK 88
Amp: JL XD600/6
Speakers (all 6 connected to JL XD amp):
Dash: Infinity REF3032CFX (Tweeters)
Front Doors: Kicker 44QS674 (components with Twitter mounted on them and external analog crossovers doing the separation since I have only a 6 ch amp)
Rear Doors: Kicker 51KSC6704
Subwoofer: JBL BassPro Hub (powered - connected directly to TWK88)
I hope there is no need but If something speaker-wise is to be altered what would it be?

Great presentaion, gentlemen. 👍 Looking forward to more tutorial videos as you have a chance to develop them.
More to come! Glad you're enjoying them!

I have a vxi1000. After setting up the speakers to spec, will it work straight out of the box without a specific TuN? Like an Amp without DSP?

@@JLAudioInc thanks for getting back to me.
@JL Audio Do amplifier gains need to get set with TüN4 or prior to using it?

This show goes so much smoother than the Kicker live show. Kip is cool but man he gets side tracked so easily.
Appreciate the love and support!
