Both Sunday and Robin cannot fix Jingliu's two main problems: 1) She continuously advances herself forward, and it counts as one turn; 2) She has saturated self-buffs. The first one is self-explanatory but the second one is complicated. Jingliu has a very high attack buff on her own when she drains allies' HP. This makes Robin's huge attack buff less potent. Since Jingliu already has a high attack when she buffs herself, you naturally build her with high crit damage. However, both Robin and Sunday increase her crit damage further which would result in diminishing returns. This is especially true when you use the ice set, which gives another 20%. Jingliu also gives herself a 50% crit rate whereas Sunday gives another 20% this would lead to overkilling crit rate.

It is the only reason why Sunday become the only action advancer that can bypass the tickdown, thanks to it lasting for 2 turns. Her problem from this is that with action advance team, she end up existing her stages quicker than expected. The second problem that he has everything, so everyone buffing get diminishing returns. The only way to buff Jingqiu without diminishing return is enemies Def Down and Vulnerbility that straight up increase DMG. This, however, doesnt mean she not work with buffers. Think it the other way around, without Robin/Sunday/Sparkle etc. she does not lose much.

From this vid it looks like Sunday changes nothing. It should be a hypercarry support but it's meh. I saw normal Jingliu numbers vs ice weak enemies. It's the same with Bronya or Sparkle. But Bronya is free and you don't need to pull for her. I need to wait for v4 because everything now is kinda pointless. But I don't expect much changes. I assume Sunday is a good choice if you would like to play with summon bs. If not then bro is the easiest skip in the entire game.
normal numbers for a Jingliu with Bronya well played, even because the buff is lost in the transformation, with Sunday, because it is 2 turns and regenerates the ult, it does better in the rotation in general.
Better to pull him now rather than his rerun. You would be get cucked in the 3.x summon meta. Jingliu is a failure of a character. That action advance from her trancesdenct is mid, be making buffs expire much faster. Hoyo should have designed it as "extra action" ngl. There's no saving jingliu unless a rework of her kit to "extra action"

V1 Fugue is just a sidegrade of HMC for now. If you already have RM and HMC then she’s currently not a must pull for FF. Fugue’s best partner is actually Boothil and Rappa becausa they benefit from Break Effect instead of Super Break

Questions for Sunday. Does his buff tick down on the DPS' turn or his own turn? Because someone like Tingyun (4*) for example, Benediction runs out quickly if the DPS takes too many actions. So for Sunday, is his skill different? Because I'm pretty sure in a Bronya-Jingliu team, there are enhanced skills that will not be buffed by Bronya's skill (except when she's E6) so I'm just wondering if Sunday might be a bit better if he can buff all of the enhanced skills.
My low investment jingliu does better with Bronya than this one does with Sunday. Robin isn’t benefiting JL at all either since her buffs are just diminishing returns. Don’t get. Cause they got power kept by the enemy hp. So to reduce the gap you need premium support.
And if you pull Sunday you might want to farm the new relic cause it's perfect and tailer made for her. You need 30% cr with Sunday. Maybe less with the new relic. So overall a great time to rework anyone's old jingliu build with new bronya 2.0

His utility is really good. How I see Sunday right now is like Topaz on release, didn't really fit at the time because it was hypercarry meta and lack of teammates, but constant release of new units made her even more relevant (case in point, FART team.) I've noticed a details in leaks where "summon" is being mentioned more and more, call me an absolute crackhead but I truly believe they're pivoting to a summon meta in the future and that Sunday is quite future proof due to his advance summon mechanic. In terms of whether or not he's a good supp for Topaz, he is, his kit is more focused on chars with summon, but not exclusive to them. The summon char group is still pretty small right now and with new releases, I believe Sunday's value will keep rising.

Can someone explain the difference b/w action advance & extra turn? I read in comments & a bit confused. From what I've seen in game both things allow me to do the same, either use basic or skill.
Extra turn-buff don't expire by 1 turn Action adv- buffs expire by 1 turn. It's a major thing for jingliu. And Sunday has 2 turn buff so she doesn't eat up the buff when action advancing and keep the buff next skill
the most important difference is that extra turn doesn't actually count as a real turn, so it doesn't reduce the duration of buffs and debuffs there are other differences but you have to understand how the speed system works in this game. action advance just makes your next real turn come faster. so for 100% action advance, it's kind of important to do it when your next real turn is very far away to maximize the benefit. for example, if your next real turn is literally coming up in the next 1 action value, 100% action advance is almost completely wasted. but if you get an extra turn instead, it doesn't really matter since your real turn will still come up immediately after the 'fake' extra turn this is one of the big reasons that make huntmarch kind of annoying to use. when she gets 7 stacks, she immediately 100% action advances herself. if you let her get 7 stacks when her turn is almost coming up anyway, you basically just wasted most of that action advance. if they had made it an extra turn instead of 100% action advance, it would be way less annoying to time properly this is also why bronya is usually speedtuned to be 1 speed slower than her hypercarry. what you want to do is for her hypercarry to take their turn, then immediately be able to 100% action advance them to minimize wastage. if her skill had given an extra turn instead, you wouldn't need to do that
On the turn order you will see extra turn gets inserted on the right side, while advance forward your action value gets 0 and your icon will shoot upwards on the turn order

As much as i love Jingliu but sunday will not pull jingliu back to dps supremacy as she was back in version 1. Hoyo has neglected the ice element for a long time now. What jingliu needs is a specific ice support with a gimmick like super break but for the ice element. The simulated universe already has Dissociation. If a character is released with a kit that can trigger dissociation to enemies or something similar, it will be more better for Jingliu. Also if sundays kit had some way to store excess energy, it will definitely benefit Jingliu more. On the plus side since sunday gives 20% crit rate now it will be possible to build only 30% crit rate on Jingliu.

this is also why bronya is usually speedtuned to be 1 speed slower than her hypercarry. what you want to do is for her hypercarry to take their turn, then immediately be able to 100% action advance them to minimize wastage. if her skill had given an extra turn instead, you wouldn't need to do that
On the turn order you will see extra turn gets inserted on the right side, while advance forward your action value gets 0 and your icon will shoot upwards on the turn order

As much as i love Jingliu but sunday will not pull jingliu back to dps supremacy as she was back in version 1. Hoyo has neglected the ice element for a long time now. What jingliu needs is a specific ice support with a gimmick like super break but for the ice element. The simulated universe already has Dissociation. If a character is released with a kit that can trigger dissociation to enemies or something similar, it will be more better for Jingliu.
Also if sundays kit had some way to store excess energy, it will definitely benefit Jingliu more. On the plus side since sunday gives 20% crit rate now it will be possible to build only 30% crit rate on Jingliu.
