This video is a bit confusing. 319 has drop feed dogs. Would you still use a darning plate. Watching you oil the 319 made it clear that I could take the drop feed fork assembly and install it on my 206k. Hard to find part and it fit perfectly. Thank you for inspiration. Always great stuff. Mike
Hi Mike. Thank you so much for your comment. It was confusing reading the manual of the 319. It said that it didnt had dropped feed dogs. But now I know that was wrong and my video was wrong too. My apologies.
When I got this Singer 319k Sewing Machine from my cousin. She taught me how to use Singer 15x1 needles, and I discovered that they didn't work and that's why my cousin didn't adapt or be able to use the SINGER 319K correctly (I'm a man and I love old sewing machines). I was sewing a zig zag stitch with a 15x1 needle, the sewing machine tangled the thread underneath and broke the needle. After this problem, the needle column stopped moving to make decorative stitches. And the Singer 319k now only sews straight, I used a DBX1 needle and was able to sew straight seams on the SINGER 319K. But some problem caused the arm that moves the needle column for decorative stitches to stop working, even when I activate the internal decorative stitches that are available in the SINGER 319k.
Such a shame you have difficulties with your Singer 319k. I feel for you! Did you know there is a FB-group dedicated to the Singer 319? Maybe someone in that group can help you solve the issues your are facing. Good luck! And I hope you have your 319 fully working soon.
I carry out repairs on Singer 242, Singer 974 sewing machines myself. I have already carried out repairs on Vigorelli ZZa Robot and Vigorelli Aerodinamica sewing machines. But I always learn by watching videos on UA-cam and I copy what someone does and then do the same maintenance on my sewing machines. I collect old sewing machines. And I like sewing on them too, it relaxes me and is a personal hobby. I was told that you were carrying out repairs and had a video showing this part of the decorative stitching being dismantled and being repaired. Because these sewing machine models are imported into Brazil. It's even scary to take anyone to work and there are hardly any people who sew like they did 30 to 60 years ago. Most women today want practical and ready-made things. And sewing requires thinking, assembling patterns and sewing. My dream is to work with quickting and patchwork to make bags and pencil cases. I have the same mindset@@eldersandim3008 -- I too find it relaxing to work with old sewing machines. I forget the time when I'm working on them. SOMETIMES I do some small repairs but nothing major. I'm too afraid to break a machine (although Singer is unbreakable, LOL!) So I just clean them, give it some oil and film (and edit) videos for fellow enthousiasts. I have not disassembled a Singer 319. Maybe another UA-camr? AndyTube perhaps? Take care and enjoy your hobby!
I ordered some cheap bobbins case from Amazon and it fits my 319 and I am able to use 15x1, Ha-1 needles. I gather these are just common needles. Let me know if you to know more about the bobbin case I ordered, I will find u the Amazon info.

Few of the Toyota Sewing Machine Models also have quick replacement plate for straight stitch and patterns, like the Z 700.
