Don't watch Batio's Tribute to Randy. It'll depress you in ways you didn't know were possible. He sweeps the same bit, but it's genuinely faster and cleaner. I've never seen anything like some of the shit he plays over this.

You have to strike the string with your thumb on picking hand and pick at the same time. Adding vibrato will make it sound better.

Jesus Christ the fact you said that wasn't close just shows you don't even have ears. He modified the sweeps in one part, other then that it was near perfection. You've probably never picked up a guitar in your life and have zero musical ability so I think its best to pipe down.

I've played for 16 years, and i would never consider one of my students a real guitarist, after a few lessons.
Once you're able to follow rythms with other musicians and "fall in" on beats, you are considered a real guitarist.
If you're just a teen learning chords off of UA-cam, you're not. Simple.

@@ITSjustWOOL have to agree with you. Playing with people levels aren't as important as one would think. It's a hobby where you aren't losing like the way computer games and sports etc. So even with this song if you were to play it a beginner could hit maybe simple notes along to the rhythm and the more practiced play the trickier parts. I'd rather be the beginner or the more advanced in a jam if it was like this. I'd not enjoy it if I was either in a pissing contest. Playing live of course involves a standard . But people usually pay for that. Emulate never envy is my motto ☺️
