This is one show that definitely needs to come back on television. I used to watch this every week. It was shows like this that sparked my interest in becoming a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity for ten years. Unfortunately, my busy work schedule doesn’t permit me to have that time anymore, but it was some of the best ten years of my life.
I think the controversies surrounding it were part of what led to its cancelation. The taxes, bills, maintenance on the larger places were often more than the families could handle. At least nine families had given up their homes by 2020--two of them were actually foreclosures. The premise is lovely, but the execution was too over-the-top to be sustainable for people who were frequently low income. That part of their lives didn't change just because they got a new house. If it were to air again, they'd need to update it and think more practically. Spend less on outrageous themed rooms the kids are going to outgrow and more on setting the family up for financial success so they can stay there.

As a person who survived ALL at a young age. I can really relate to this young girl. I hope she’s doing better and this whole family is still whole.

THIS IS WONDERFUL WHAT THE TEAM DID FOR THIS FAMILY BUT IT IS A TOTAL SHAME WHAT THEY DID TO THESE PEOPLE THE CITY WANTED MONEY FOR SO CALLED TAXES WHICH THEY CHARGE MORE THAN THEY COULD AFFORD SO THEY HAD TO MOVE AND THE CITY GOT TO SALE THIS HOUSE FOR LOTS OF MONEY THAT IS SICKING ALL THEY ARE OUT FOR THE MONEY
And what about the big son's room?
Gosh hope they get a bone marrow transplant that will make her live for thousands of years.

Having Luekemia is horrible to have. my nephew had that he and my Sister was back and forth to Great Ormond Street hospital in London he is ok now but he has Arthritis in his knees he is only 13 they found out he had it at age 2 11 years ago.I don't wish Cancer upon anyone whatever age we are
