@@d00mnoodle24 absolutely, I totally agree. Luck plays a major role in these kind of speedruns, but that's almost always the case for most game speedruns except for those with fixed maps like the old Nintendo era Mario games. A bit disappointed I made some mistakes along the way that could have shaved off a few seconds but you only get 1 try when the seed shows up. In any case, this is purely for my personal entertainment purposes while I have time, the game is still pretty nascent and should see a lot more traffic from other speedrun enthusiasts in due course. This should especially be the case when they flesh out all the other bosses and release them as well. The standards currently aren't set in stone either considering the game's barely been out a week, and whether exactly we include things like loading time, how the timer is determined to end etc. is all gonna be points of discussion until the community eventually agrees to settle - and that will only be for one type of category. Currently there are other more challenging categories like fresh save file speedrun and 'naked' i.e. no Holobytes and only base weapon clears.
@@d00mnoodle24 someone on discord has already cleared 1st boss with lvl 0 gear and no holobytes... but yes it looks to be extremely challenging and requires near perfect parrying and dodging
How did you find the prism sitting out in the open right out of spawn? I thought they were only sitting on the ground after you kill one of the mobs holding them but then don't extract after picking it up.
@@zintic622 My guess would be that the cycle where he did this isn't fresh and he killed a the prism holder and then extracted so that way he wouldn't have to kill them before going to the bosses
@@gdolan9 could be. He did start on the pad and not show his last cycle end so it's possible. I didn't think of that. But I've had a few different times where one of them was on the ground. Maybe the mob it came from fell out of the map and died I'm not sure.
@@gdolan9 this was a fresh run of many done beforehand, and prisms can spawn out in the open like that. I'm not the first to have experienced this, others have also mentioned in the discord of this happening to them by pure happenstance.
