The music is great on this game. The kick drum snare and baseline in background are very 80’s/industrial/ebm sound mixed with a capcom sound

You are not the only person who like the game. So do I.
The game was developed by System Vision an published by Kaneko. Kemco didn't have relation with the game!

I had this game on the Snes back in the day. Many people probably forgot this underrated hidden gem 2D fighter.
One cool feature this game has is the 2 plain system simple by pressing up to move to the background and down to the foreground plus this game has a dedicated jump button instead of using the D-pad to jump.

I love this game and I know a bunch of people that loves it, is very simple i just wish they had more time is obviously rushed to enter in the competition of consoles fighting games and programmers only had time to animate really few frames, imagine this game functioning like street fighter , still the music is excellent, the stages are pure art and the characters have an unique charm on them that makes you remember them, I hope someday that someone that understand programing can hack and improve the game a little better and turn this great classic into a more worthy product.

I rented this game on the weekend too! I owned SF2 at that time, but this was the only other fighting game out, so it was the only other choice we had for fighting games. gameplay definitely wasnt as good but I thought the music was nice, and the graphics were nice for its time. I was surprised how little difference there is with the genesis version. some songs sound better on it too.

when everybody was defeated all in blue and suddenly Ranker's portrait appeared in the middle of the characters it was very exciting and we often were bad on lives. its hard to play this game like it is supposed to play because the RPG style rarely make you full meter like this version im using. and Joe suffers a lot from slowdowns and weakness with low power.

I loved this game growing up! It was a tough one trying to build up Joe through the whole story but I did manage to beat it!

I liked this game a lot back in the day,I thought the characters had personality compared to other fighters.this would have been great being a 32 bit game, with bigger sprites,in a CPS1 way.BTW,I once came across a boss rom hack back in the day,if I remember well.

Nick OST is weird on Snes, I believe that Genesis, or Mega Drive had better bests and the musics more well developed
The name actually in the Mega Drive is Deadly Moves

I had this game, awesome music on both version. Warren's theme is the best on snes. Have you played Battle Master for snes? It sounds and plays like this! I wonder if its a spiritual successor...

I had this for the Snes back in the day too. Definitely a pretty good hidden gem for sure,Power Moves was definitely something fresh in the 90's 2D fighter craze.

It's wierd that neither version is perfect. Graphics are better on SNES while sound is leaps and bounds better on sega

It was enjoyable for weird reasons, but not a great fighter

Almost identical Gfx, MD has darker colore than Snes.
Better sounds and voices for Snes noticed that Joe sprite has a "lighting/reflection effect" while producing hes fireball, for the MD version this effect doens't exist.

"3D effects" seems more evident on Genesis despite SNES having... Mode 7. WTF. I like the music score on Genesis especially the final boss battle. However, SNES is the obvious winner on everything.

@@CarlosXPhone Snes has lower sound sample quality on voices, but can mix them better

Empate, apesar do SNES levar vantagem obvia nas cores e no som.

Som? Onde que o super é melhor no som? As músicas muito piores e as vozes parecem que estão debaixo d'água.
