at 10:07 make castle start hitting the fence. Then send in the Axeman to Raid. Seems like too many sec were wasted gathering Axeman. Thanks for putting this video together I will try it soon.
Just tried this myself in a ranked game and the opponent resigned as soon as he saw the second castle going up. He saw the first one so tried to stop that going up but I managed to quick wall my villagers in.
Amazing build. Thx for sharing. I play Frank's consistently and this will definitely improve my elo. Saw one of your Khmer 15 pop archer rush and have been on a 8-1 win streak with them ever since ;)
No it was quite smooth actually. I did however cheat a lil bit and sent one villager to straggler tree in dark age, instead of committing everyone to food though. Nonetheless great build order that was.
Hey buddy! Welcome to aoe2! Don’t worry about getting destroyed, eventually it will get to the correct level for you and then it will become a little more fun! There’s about 45 build orders on the channel. As a beginner I would recommend the basic archer rush, basic scout rush and fast castle into economy boom build orders to learn first. This is an intermediate to advanced build order so it may be a little tricky and can only really be used on maps like arena or hideout :-) thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. You can also find the build orders at www.morleygames.co.uk Great to have you here.

Thanks buddy! It’s certainly quite a good one I think. Seems to have won people a few games, going by the comments. Tried it myself for the first time competitively and won so it’s certainly one I will using again.
For people asking about the mod just type "age of mandala" in the mod search bar and you will find all the different range mods. And good video morley keep it up!!
Thanks man! I think the mandala mods are for the building ranges. I mangonel mod is something else I think. I think I just typed in “mangonel range” in the mod search.
Short question ... I like to play franks. And I will go into knights. Now to the question ... If my opponent goes for pikemen can I build knights + Skirms? I know that archers or throwing axemen are better .. but they are way more expensive compared to the trash unit skirms. Or what is your advise?? Im never 100% sure what to build if my opponent counters my knights with a spear line
Knights and skirmishers is a very strong combo. Generally army compositions should be 1 gold unit, 1 trash unit and 1 siege unit so maybe knights, skirms and scorpions?
WOw Thanks . I use This method and Beat first time Hardest (AI) Very Ez (I still remember struggling Hard AI :D ) instead of onagers I used RAMS because AI already had Castle. so couple of practice and gonna use it in on Match :D
You know, Throwing Axemen was my favorite Norse opening in Age of Mythology. For old time's sake, I may have to learn this build order. I like the idea of Axemen in AoE2: you're a Knight civ, and they're a Pike counter. Shame their damage always felt a tad low, and they don't keep up with Knights the way Hussars follow Mangudai.
Yes the speed is certainly an issue. In terms of damage output, i think the got a buff quite a while ago so if you haven’t used them for years, they’re actually much more viable than they used to be
@@MorleyGames1 How'd you know I haven't built one this last decade? Well alright, I've been re-digging into AoE2 recently, I might as well give it a shot!
How does this compare to a Franks 22+2 castle drop build on arena (from Adal's channel), which is tighter but faster. That has the advantage of getting your first castle up faster and potentially getting your 2nd (or 3rd) castle in their base but has the disadvantage of not having an eco behind it and also alerts your opponent so they can try to deny your 2nd castle.
I haven’t seen that one if I’m honest. All I can say with this one, I hit castle age in under 6 minutes and was able to produce quite a lot of throwing axes and start adding mangonels at 20 minutes so if they build a defensive castle, you could just take the army to another part of their base to get in to.
Just watched it. Looks a good one but it didn’t look as through there was any army so could be quite vulnerable back home if the enemy did a counter attack at their base. Perhaps a few rams with some knights would take those castles down.
@@MorleyGames1 You can find his clown cup game vs Modri (Jonslow casted it so check his channel). He chose to go fast imp to trebs but, like your builds, there are lots of ways to go (make mangos and knights or axemen, go w/ more castles, fast imp, etc.).
I've played around w/ it a lot and I find that I almost always get the first castle up (over 90%), usually get a 2nd or 3rd castle up (over 75%), but only win about 60%, usually b/c opponent either beats me to imp and trebs me or they expand away from the castles & boom. My guess is that this build will probably result in more failed castles but I'll win more often when I do get them up. I'll give it a go for a while
Yeah worth testing it out. I think this one is one where you will need to cause plenty of damage in castle age. Because if they are able to defend well and get a good eco they will beat you to imp. I feel like this one needs to end the game in castle age.
It depends. if your opponent is already planning on making an early castle then yes but they won't necessarily know that this is what you're going for. If the opponent is just booming or going for siege and monks then they won't be able to get the defensive castle any time soon as they won't have been mining stone. To counter mangonels, you will have your own and its fairly easy to add a stable and get a few knights out instead of axemen should their mango's cause you issues. You can always use this build to just get some map control around key resources if castle dropping might not be do-able from what you've scouted. Fast imp is always risky as you've had to invest so many resources in to getting up to imp that you won't have the eco to sustain an army behind it. if they just went rams and knights they could ruin your plans as you're advancing to imp.

This video is 14 minutes long, that's the time it takes me to reach castle age

What's the mod with the range of the mangonels. I definetly need it!
I can’t remember the name but I will be doing a video for my top 5 mods which will hopefully be up at the weekend :)

Do you think this is adaptable to scouts into knights then castle drop?
the enemy is like 100 elo
Vs extreme AI i think….if it was a player it would be about 1250
