Excellent! Thanks for posting in suck excellent quality. Question: How do you pre define the length of each audio clip you're recording? I can't figure it out, keep needing to push the clip pad again to toggle the recording off. It seemed that you had that automated?
Ahmad Hammoud The clip length isn’t pre determined or automated. I’m using a footswitch that’s mapped to the session record button in Ableton. That way I can punch in/out of the loop hands free.
mredrollo Thank you! I’m using GLS Audio ES57s for the snare top and bottom, Cad KM212 for the kick, Cad TM211 for the toms, and MXL V250s for the overheads.
How does this work? What is setting the loop end points? What is arming the tracks? I thought only ableton’s Push 2 controller had FIXED LOOP LENGTH..... You had different bar lengths for each track, right? Set up in advance? But when did you start recording each track? Beautiful stuff, sir. This is the kind of thing that is only recently inspiring me to get into Live.// AI think I figured out part of it, when re-watching. The pedal you’re using is not visible in the frame. I was looking at the pedal that IS there and not seeing it used.... Really cool. So fantastic, down to how you have the drums mic’d. Pro.
CentaurusRelax314 I’m using the Akai APC40 to arm tracks, and then I have a footswitch that I’m using to punch in/punch out. The footswitch is quantized to 1 bar length, so the loop starts exactly at the beginning of a bar, and ends at the end of the bar. Hope that helps!
Fantastic performance! I am doing live looping as well, this is advanced level! Keep it up man! Subscribed...if you have some free time check out my jams! Great job!
