I'm a noob at rts games and I hated this mission. Those dang tanks would roll up and destroy everything and I just wasn't doing it right at first. Watching this makes me feel bad, lol. Was so glad to finish this.
On mission 3 you should put some mines on the road so it force the green skins to go though and loose a lot of troops or find a path around it doing so it will give you time to strengthen your defences
Honestly, I don't get why everbody here had such problems with wartraks. Two or three squads of marines with rocket launchers and boom, no problem. Now LOOTED TANKS thought, those were a fucking pain in the ass.
Will you be doing all of the Dawn of War games in the near future? Will you be leaving out Dark Crusade and Soulstorm since their campaigns have a different structure than the rest of them if you do?
I will most likely be doing up to winter assault as dark crusade and soulstorm is definitely different, i wouldn't know which faction to pick and most of the campaign is just skirmish matches with some exceptions. As for Dow2 series, I'm also not to sure as my computer and graphics card is quite old to handle playing and recording the game at the same time. Sorry it took a while to reply, this new youtube comments didn't even let me know there was a comment on this video.
redalert2havoc Well if you do end up playing Dark Crusade, it might be worth playing the Blood Ravens since it is part of the series canon, and just recording the stronghold missions and aftermath segments would probably do just fine. Soulstorm on the other hand is a bit too long and there isn't a clear indication who won that one.
***** You can get the dawn of war games digitally from Steam which is which I bought it from. Sometimes Steam do have sales on the DoW franchise which I believe there was a 50% discount back in May. So if you're are not in a rush to get the games, you should wait for the sale.
You should learn to ration your squads better instead of just adding them all to one attacking force. If you left a few squads protecting the captured strategic points this would have been over a lot quicker instead of having the whole army constantly run from one end of the map to the next as soon as something comes under attack...
Well I like to have all my units together as a single army/attacking force, I won't split them up unless I actually have to defend multiple points on the maps as part of a objective or so. Since I don't really know where the enemy may attack on my already captured points, I didn't want to have my units split up causing me to have a small attacking force .
@@redalert2havoc You did a great job here its just that I'm being a bit of a nitpicker because sometimes while watching you play I forget that I'm watching a video and feel as if I'm playing and I guess I have a different play style. I even clicked on the minimap on the video a few times thinking it would show me what's going on there lol. What you had in the end was an attacking force so overwhelming and overkill that you could have spared a few units to defend some points on the map and I think you lost some time in bringing your units back to those points to recapture them :D Either way you got through it almost flawlessly so I guess there really isn't any need to give you advice
+MudkipsAreEpicWin There was a content id match on the audio/music. So i had to use the youtube audio removal tool to remove that section of the audio/music. The music was removed but the sound effects are maintained but overall the audio quality was reduced
I recommend the master collection instead, it gets you winter assault(expansion add-on), dark crusade(expansion standalone) and soulstorm(expansion standalone). or if you want dawn of war 2 as well, there's thedawn of war franchise pack. The grand master collection includes even more dlcs for dawn of war 2. Or the sega ultimate warhammer 40,000 collection which includes 'Space Marine' and the dlcs, it includes the 'Necron' dlc for dow2 retribution which is missing from the other packs(or you can buy that separately).
Because they exists only to die gloriously in the Emperor's name! They are cowards if they think they can hide behind the SPESS MEHREENS! All shall fight! None shall retreat! Any deserters will be shot! Actually I think the imperial guards moves a little faster than the space marines, so they always seem to be at the front.
The guardsmen may be only a thin wall of metal, but they have their uses and can surprise a force when least expected. Send the guardsmen and let them die in holy fire.
If there is one thing the orks got, it is persistence. They don't let up when they wanna see stuff explode.

This was my most hated mission due to those annoying overpowered wartraks.
Likewise, I am playing it now and I am like..these tanks are so OP. My marines were flying everywhere.

A smart idea if you wanna even beef up your army and make more squads available.

This is a fine job, but it isn't easy when the enemy won't let you build.
What happened to the sound half way through?

God I hate the wartraks. Like Roaches in this level.
Sean Maguire Just have to split your army...running around in a big blob is quite terrible
That many units can't even all fire at the same time.
For real? One squad of marines with fully equiped with rocket luanchers can take one out in seconds.
hey im going to buy this game for Christmas tomorrow as goty edition is it worth it or no ?
